I literally just posted that. I'd think that would be it for most football collectors. Sure basketball guys are here right now, but who knows if they stick around, you're better off going with the historical best than reaching IMO.

Each can have their own opinions, but these 3 seem to me to be the 3 most valuable and the 3 hardest to find at a reasonable price.

My personal opinion is assuming no injury luka is here to stay for the next 5 to 10 years. I prefer nfl as it is my favorite sport but you can not underestimate the international appeal of the nba particularly the asian market which favors nba over nfl.

These two very well may be the faces of pro sports over the next decade.

The difference right now is that Luka is younger and the hope is that he can accomplish what Mahomes already has.

Luka has had an amazing start of his career, but nothing is granted. You are still looking at a guy who hasn't made it out of the first round of the playoffs or won an MVP. Which isn't a bad thing this early, it's just that the road to GOAT is a long one and Luka is at the very beginning of that path, as opposed to Mahomes, who's further along.

I know this isnt top 3 but what do people think about the immaculate. The horizontal one that has the RC logo on it. I think its kind of undervalued a bit. It has shot up a bunch though, it used to be like $800, now I think its $4,000. But I never hear it even mentioned as one of the nice autos to get. Is it just me or is it a pretty sharp card as far as autos go and pretty cheap considering on card and expensive name brand and box.

A lot of immaculate Mahomes RC autos are pretty streaky from what I've seen. I think that has contributed to the lower sales maybe. But yeah, could be a good buy as anything on-card auto for his RCs is nice.

Last 3-5 years his early rook cards have grown in value steadily, last couple years they've hit some very healthy prices.
I picked up mine over 10 years ago after scouting ebay in Brazil for about 3 years as well as other overseas auction points and looking for this particular issue. It's his most iconic in my opinion, but there are others that are a year or so earlier that bring just as strong prices and many of his Italian issues (Panini) bring good results too.

Yes!!!! I'm now totally convinced that if you pay the $175/card 2-day service with BGS you get some good results. This was a PSA 8 with a lot of issues, I just wanted it graded.

Yeah, but with surface dimples and rough corners I think I would have had a hard time selling raw online. Years down the road if Mahomes stays this good, i think I will be happy with my 9.

It was. It was sold on eBay on November 8th by Jewcer as a PSA 8. I traded for it and it was raw when I acquired it.

It's subjective. Field Level pop is 71 PSA 10's vs 176 XRC. Can't go wrong with either of them. I would definitely take either of those over the Prizm personally.
