Of course the big FDIC International fire conference got moved up two week s to 02 - 07 August in Indy. This means that more than likely the truck arrival and move-in will be the Saturday and Sunday of the National.

All 6 dogs I liked (including the two all four of us settled on this morning) had ben adopted when we got to the animal shelter this morning.

We ended up getting this nice 14-week old lab, Athena (the Goddess of War) and she is definitely cute and playful. I mean, even I like her, so it is a miracle.

So far, she pooped once. That was before we were able to get to Petsmart and purchase doggy pads. We already gave her a bath and she has been outside twice. She has pooped outside too so she is learning already.

I can't wait until she gets older so I can go have her poop on our next door neighbor's lawn and not clean it up like that a-hole's dog does to our lawn.

Yeah, we made sure yesterday that my Son picked up all of his toys and he understands that he can't leave things out anymore.

Thanks Josie. Like I said, I'm not a dog person and even I love her. She already does that cute lab thing of turning her head to the side when you say something that peeks her interest.

Had some issues with my Son and her last night. My wife kept telling me a dog would help calm his anger. Since she is a puppy, she likes to bite softly when she gets real playful. She kept doing it to my Son and he started crying, screaming at the dog, calling it a piece of crap, and wanting it gone. Then of course, when I tell him to settle down, he goes off on me. I don't like the biting either, but I'm better at recognizing she is doing it, avoiding it, and then telling her no and pushing her gently away. It's going to be a real problem with him until she gets out of that phase.

I really love how she goes right for the jugular of the stuffed Llama she came home with. I may not need a gun to protect the house, she may just take care of anyone who breaks in here when she gets older.

Forgot to mention at baseball practice yesterday, my wife got to play EMT. One of the kids on our team got hit on the hand with the ball when the coach was pitching. He was crying so bad from the pain. I told my wife she needed to go check him out. She was the only one who could calm him down (not the coach and not his Mom) as she went through her assessment to see if his hand was broken.

Brave kid got back out on the field after that and when it was his turn to bat again, he hit a nice one in between first and second base.

Hopefully with time and practice, he gets adjusted to the puppy.

I forgot how jittery steroids make me feel. Its raining so I cant go sit outside today.

My mom should get her test results back today. Hoping she doesn't have COVID, too.

I am trying to remain calm and stay positive. Found out a coworker was also recently diagnosis. She has been in bed for 3 days now. She has moderate symptoms.

That’s good to hear Josie, take care of yourself and try not to go stir crazy in quarantine. I would risk covid if you could be here to help me sort cards, actually it’s not too bad I am going through the ones marked sell if I were to die and there are lots of good cards in those.

The dog that did this six years ago this month is visiting with us right now.
Everything is out of sight.

At least the pooch didn’t destroy a high value card.

She is cute. Do I see an issue with her left eye lid?
