I know manufactured relics aren’t well liked but the Home Sweet Homes are nice. /299 or lower and the little emblem is well done.

Just buy singles. I do things in bulk and can overcome poor hits.

i used to buy cases of products way back in 2012/13 and usually did well but prices then were significantly lower than today.

Prices for good hits were also significantly lower. Value teeters up or down a bit on flagship depending on the year and specific type of box being opened, but the value is always there at release. Never lost a penny on it, and until I do, I'll keep at it.

I noticed for the first time this year (although I may just not have been paying attention) but Steve Carlton's autograph is starting to show his age. He has always had a beautiful autograph.

Man they really messed up the Heavy Lumber's by adding that huge black box across the card. Who approved that!?!?!?!??!

I thought the same thing when I saw the empty red box on the Buxton version.

1) Cheaper to purchase pre-release. Once product settles that reverses and hobby falls while jumbo rises. Usually.

2) Faster rip. Everything at quantity levels is about efficiency.

3) More fun. Part of why I do this for a living is the level of enjoyment I get out of it. Jumbos are a blast to open because the hits are more condensed, plus double silver packs in a box. Just makes it more fun.

4) For quantity rips, your hobby base value addition dwindles fast. After a period of time, the base have a lot lower value. So other than the start, I don't value the base that much difference between the two cases.

5) This may or may not be true because I don't rip Hobby cases at the same level as jumbo, but overall, the biggest hits feel like they come from jumbo cases.

6) To tie in with my third point, the fun factor is also relevant to my family help. My son grows tired of opening hobby packs really fast. Wife does too. I can get a lot more help by only buying jumbo. All of the grunt work is still mine, but I can get hits listed faster if I have hands helping me open.

Thats off the top of my head. Hope that helps.
What a great reply, thanks so much for sharing your expertise! I usually only bust a case or 2 of hobby, and you're right the base sells well upon release and quickly fades. Good points all around, I'm saving your post and will come back to it from time to time to glean more and set it in memory. If and when I decide to up my game and go for higher quantity I'll definitely be using jumbo - obviously depending on said release specifics. Much appreciated!

I think it looks nice how it is. Most bats have that line on the handle, just trying to recreate that

Yes. Team name and the 'neon' stripe wrapping the photo, are each a different color foil.

Really nice base card, to my eyes.

My first time ordering anything from Fanatics, and it's been... interesting?

Ordered four of the exclusive blasters last week; received an order number and all sorts of follow-up emails (FanCash! Discounts! Bet with us!). Site noted that blasters would mail no later than Feb 25.

Now, the site indicates a Mar 1-Mar 7 shipping window, and my order number just leads to a page that says "No order found"...

Thanks! No doybt on Carlton. His auto isn’t what it used to be but is still better than most modern players will do.

Shouldn't it be behind the player then? If they were going for the bat look. Would be a failure in execution as the minimum.

I wonder why they went with a dark blue stripe on the Trout and Ohtani versions? All the other cards I'm seeing on ebay seem to have a team related color.
