Totally agree. Once the price breaks through a significant threshold (in this case $1K) then it will rise rapidly.

I don't what you use for data, but this isn't true when I calculate actual value/price right now. They are close, but chrome is slightly better (65-70% ROI per box versus 60-65% for sapphire on average).

I think I'd still rather hold Sapphire because that's where the hype is and breaking culture will still be able to move those more than regular chrome at these prices because of that. Thus I think Sapphire is more likely to go, say, to $1200/box than regular chrome is to $850/box.

Our perception gets all out of wack because we see $900 haaland base cards and $2k for PSA 10s and naturally ignore inserts/parallels in both. It's a home-run culture and that seems way sexier than $175 base haalands from chrome. And if you ignore parallels I totally agree with you. But they still put them in the box.

My grades for psa popped today. 1 each of Fati/haaland. Both 10! Looks like fati might be a hold now with $1,000 taken it off it since news of the new surgery

There’s others here that can answer that much better than I but my opinion from the sounds of it Mbappe is legit and a 10 would be hard to turn down for just a possibility at haaland essentially

So if Haaland goes to one of the big boys in the EPL or Real you think that has a big increase for his prices? Was reading about him tonight and they state he’s likely to transfer next summer, tho it sounded like they meant this summer even though his Dortmund contract runs to next summer, meaning 2022. But it further said Dortmund likely wouldn’t wait until ‘22 because the 65 million euro buyout in ‘22 will be 100 million this summer most likely. Anyone have a better way to state this lol?

He has a buy clause that doesn't kick in til next summer for approx 65 million. This summer it would be an open bidding war with no buy clause.

Knowing how his agent Raiola operates he will push for the transfer to wait til next summer when it's a lower fee for any purchasing team with the option so that the difference will be paid to him and haaland as a signing bonus since the team is getting him for "cheap"

I should find out today or tomorrow. I sent in 4 Haalands and 3 Fatis. The Fatis all had 1 or 2 very small 0.25-0.5 inch print lines that were difficult to find. The Haalands all had 1-3 print lines running 50-75% of the vertical card length. I opened 9 boxes from 6 sources and the print line issues were consistent. I'm hoping the saving grace is the print lines aren't apparent through holders and wouldn't affect the overall aesthetic when slabbed.

Mine were the same. Definitely there, but you had to have a good bloody look and hit the right degree angle to see them. Sometimes I'd lose them. So they're there, for sure, but they don't lessen how good the card looks. I've graded mine to save future issues when selling because of this - save any complaints as they are next to impossible to photograph on mine.

Exact same approach I took. I was driving myself quite insane trying to pick out which ones to grade. Just bit the bullet and subbed all of them. I was encouraged when plenty of 10's started popping. I have a hard time believing any cards are completely free of print lines based on how many I've opened, so I think PSA has to be being a little lenient. Which does make sense since they are virtually imperceptible on the dark blue sapphire effect from most angles. I've also found the print lines are less consistent on the parallels, but much more apparent when they are there.
