Probably because they are not all identical/exactly the same as they would be with an autopen.

As stated by others, most ppl have already made up their minds and are going to buy what they like. The only way this really gets a nail in the coffin one way or another is if we see Luka sign with the short, stout, wide, loopy style or if he/his mom admit he didn't sign some of his autos.

Luka seems like a genuinely likable guy. I want to believe he signed 100% of his stuff. Eye test shows me something different.

I don't like sticker autos in general, but I'm personally staying clear of Panini Luka sticker autos. For me, the more it's a scribble, the better.

Whether you have a scribble or a lulu, I hope everyone enjoys what they have.

The differences between the "questionable" autos from RM's post and the Sneaker Politics autos are minimal (as shown in my overlay image).

I'm with you in staying away from sticker autos in general, but the debate over lulu vs lili or whatever it was is dead.

You could probably scrutinize every athlete’s autographed cards in existence and find similar inconsistencies in each case.

Yes. I understood the arguments pre-Sneaker Politics auto, but the loopy lulus are minimally different from the Sneaker Politics auto - no more different than any other player autograph that is not questioned at all.

Heh I'm sure they're well aware of it. Dak was a flat out autopen so obviously 100% not signed by him. Luka is a different issue though. BGS will generally have trust in what the card companies put out. A few weeks ago I asked BAS what they thought of Luka autos and they pretty much advised to do your research and go with what you're comfortable with.

Why would that matter? If anything, that could cause his auto cards to go up even more if he chooses to stay exclusive with them.

So does BAS frequently not authenticate items BGS would deem legit?

Hmmm.. really not sure. BAS and BGS operate as different entities though. BGS just grades the cards and does not authenticate any autographs (the card companies are the ones that guarantee the autos). But if an auto on a card looks way off or suspicious I guess BGS could ask BAS for their opinion.

I wonder how his Panini contract is structured.

Is he paid a general sum for the year? Paid for x amount of autographs?

I would think most of the Panini exclusive guys will jump ship to Fanatics when the time comes, like Kobe jumped ship from UD to Panini. Was that just because Kobe's contract ran out or was he allowed to break his contract with UD because Panini held the NBA license?

it means panini has lulu stickers left over.

but I've never seen lulu style sticker auto cards in this year except for the replaced one
20-21 season, panini issue non-lulu sticker autos and redemption cards even though they have lulu stickers left over

Based on this fact, we can assume that Panini has been aware of Luka's mom autograph controversy and reluctant to issue lulu sticker auto

Why does this have to be all or nothing?

Obviously, the IP autos from Sneaker show that he signs Lulu sometimes.

But those IP autos still look nothing like the short, wide, Lulu stickers on Prizm.

Just because Luka signed one sticker doesn't mean he signed them all. And just because he didn't sign one sticker doesn't mean he didn't sign any of them.

Wouldn't it make sense that he would sign with shorter L's on his stickers compared to on card due to limited surface space on the stickers? The angle would also be different for the same reason. I only own 3 Luka Autographs and none are sticker(two 5x7's from Luka's website and a 16x20 with Dirk from Fanatics). I wasn't sure about the sticker autos either, but after seeing the in person Lulus, it seems very much the same as the stickers, only slightly taller and angled.
