Its all about the draft class and First Bowmans in these.
IF Jasson, Witt or Pauson or anyone else becomes a superstar, then these will be great long term holds. If those guys flame out and nobody in the product becomes a superstar then the product will also flame out. We wont know for a few years. So prices will probably stay between $35 and $55 for quite some time until one or more of these guys start ripping it up in the minor leagues. At $20 bucks if you can find them, its either a great cheap rip or a great gamble on one of these guys or some other prospect hitting it big. Even at $30 to $50 its a fun rip. I mean any product that you can buy for $50 and hit a $1,000 plus card is a fun rip. The breakers like these types of products with numbered parallels and numbered auto prospects. That is why these fly off the shelves each year. Its good value and people like looking for first bowman cards and first autos. Granted more fun to open when you can buy at retail price but even paying a bit more without the time and headache of searching Targets is usually worth it. The fact that they are only at Targets means even the card shops and online places like blowout have to buy them from the secondary market which makes them even more attractive to the average collector. |

2018 with Acuna hasn't really taken off. There's 3x less print run than 2020 on that I believe. People just have other options that are more standard for some reason.

That's because 2018 was not Acuna's first bowman. His first Bowman is 2017 Those 2017 mega boxes are $80 to $100 plus and they dont have any possibility of Acuna autos or any other big prospect autos.
Check out the price on 2016 Bowman Chrome unopened boxes. Thats the nearest similarity. Those have first Bowman autos of Alonso and Tatis and Soto. Those are $1,000 a box. If there had been a 2016 Bowman Mega box issued in 2016 with one of those prospect autos in it that box would be $500 or more. But 2017 was the first year of issuance and as stated above, it doesnt have any big prospects or superstar autos in it. 2020 Mega box does have first autos of Jasson and Witt. If they are superstars, the 2020 Mega Boxes will be coveted in the future. If no superstars emerge from this draft class and out of the 2020 Mega Boxes, they will not hold value. If Wander Franco hits it big, he has first autos and first cards in the 2019 Bowman Mega Box so that will be the best comparison to track. Those boxes seem to be in the $50 to $70 range. If Franco is the real deal, those 2019 Mega Boxes should trend up. Yes, print run on the Megas goes up each year, but so has demand and collector base. |

I found 22 mega's at my local Target this afternoon. Looked like someone was in before me and grabbed at least 5. Was going to hold on to most of them but decided to break all 22. Super glad I did, these two were my best pulls...

It’s been a lot harder to checkout on target app past couple days, either there aren’t that many boxes available during each reload as there were last week or more bots are trying to check out.

Shared a case with another guy today.excel guy was loaded ! Had 8 excel boxes. Split 2 cellos of mosaic too.and I'm back in the gym .it was a good day.
