Why would they do that? Target doesn’t have any Project 2020 cards!

Yup. Best part about this set IMO is that there are so many different ways to collect them at SRP.

You're already moving the goal posts.

The super high priced cards are "in hand" and have been for weeks

I may be a little dramatic saying none of the 91-400 cards ever will because if there are weeks upon weeks of huge print runs and in say around card 150 print runs go way down then those cards where pr is way down can get over $50. If every day moving forward is like today's print runs not a single card from 87 through 400 will when in hand sell on a consistent basis of over $50 a card.

Just sold another Fucci Fish for $160 in 5 minutes.

I cannot believe I'll cover my 75 card buy in with just 8 more sales. I'll just ride it out to the bottom or use them as fortified shelter at my new freeway underpass getaway.

If a market correction increases the chances of my eBay presales getting honored then I am fine with it.

A little profit-taking a good thing. Gives people confidence to go back in the water.

Not sure what is more fast paced - the product or this thread! LOL

A few bullet points
- I love the issue
- I wish I paid attention way back when

That said, it seems that PR less than 5K could/should be hot in the upcoming weeks. Somewhat accurate statement?

Also, is the Ermsy Trout worth taking a serious peek for someone that does not have one?

Thx

I want the entire set. I’ll have 1065 to choose from. And I’m confident I’ll get it cheaper than MSRP. If I pay more, I’m okay with that as well.
This is a really confusing post to me. I find it hard to believe this set will ever be sold for less than MSRP. There will be very few complete sets as many of these low print run cards are already locked up in mini set collections of player/artist collectors.

I actually agree that these huge print run cards will bottom out. But there is way to much demand in this project for the lower print runs to fall below msrp. Heck the fact that you claim you want a set down the road shows the appeal these cards have. I can’t understand why someone who likes these cards and wants a set would not be buying these every day at the low bundle price. It seems saving $1k possibly on on the set is hardly worth the possibility of paying significantly above msrp in the future. It’s extremely shortsighted to think the upside savings, which is capped, would be greater than the downside potential cost in the future which is unlimited. I also struggle to understand why people with no interest in this project would spend time to post in a thread on an Internet forum such as this, but that seems to be happening as well. There must be an agenda there or what’s the point?

There are plenty of people just like me who have been buying from the beginning and have no intention of selling. That will limit the number of available cards considerably in the future, specifically for the lower print run cards.

If the market cap per card is $1M, we’re at an $88M market cap, or $3,385 per card sold. Well 82 out of the 26K have sold for $3,385+, so I’m going to go ahead and say the market cap of the set is quite lower.
The ebay platform only shows ebay sales not the whole market. There are many x cards that have been bought and paid for through Topps that havent shown up on Ebay... So these numbers dont work. Unless I'm missing something?

I still have Giffey Beck (4 cards) for $460 each and an Ichiro Ermsy for $930. PayPal direct to skip eBay. Cards in hand. PM me if you went them. I have them listed on eBay for a lot more.

I’m buying every card this week despite what the print runs do and then I’ll decide if I want to pick and choose going forward. This set is far from over making money for people.

A significant amount of the time, you'll land a discount buying in sets. Buying vintage sets and breaking up--generally worth less than the sum of its parts.

Downside potential isn't unlimited. Downside potential is simply you don't own the set. It's not like I'm short selling it.

I like posting because it's instant action from all sides.
