Not gonna lie, the issues suck. I've got a huge shipment requested back in December that I really wanted to have for my birthday in late April. My sub is being processed 2-3 weeks late. I missed the end of 3 week byb2 days and now my next sub has to wait a brutally long four months. As a seller, I've observed a slowdown this past month as issues hit a breaking point.
Call me crazy but I'm gonna ride out the storm. Their selling platform dominates all other options for low end. Ebay is a massive timesuck and I have no desire to deal with the customer service side of selling there. Also would have to deal with up to 100 cards selling for below market while I try to build up seller feedback. Sportlots is also a massive timesuck and not a good option for smaller inventory sellers. I am definitely going to pivot more into buying slabs and using higher end consignment options. Still, low end is my expertise and the backbone of my business and there's just no better option than COMC. Their reputation will suffer for a while but in 6-12 months I expect the ship to be largely turned around. Lots of buyers and sellers will come right on back. That's what happens. They dominate the $1-20 card market and have an impenetrable competitive moat. |

Might want to start thinking about Halloween for those. Economy currently at 5 months behind, with a +1 on that every single day of course.

1) No longer credits for 100+ card shipments (used to always make me buy more at the end of the month 2) Shipping taking forever from COMC 3) Subs taking forever from TPG's (and PSA shutdown, and insane sub prices) 4) No toploaders 5) COMC behind on getting cards scanned for listing I've still been buying some stuff, but with so many cards either (a) parked at PSA/BGS (b) parked at COMC waiting to be uploaded for sale (c) ready to be submitted for grading whenever the hell that is an option or ready to ship to COMC, I'm basically trying to make cashflow with about 25% of my overall inventory. Gone are the days where I can buy something on COMC one day and have it back from PSA in a bulk sub within 2 months. Now that turnaround time is a year++ if I'm lucky. Too many newbs have broken the game.

So way less cards have been coming in to process, and yet cards haven't been listing and stuff isn't getting sent out. COMC is really putting all their resources into the barcode pieces of paper aren't they? LMAO

Has anyone received orders since the no toploader announcement? Would like to know what the packing was like without the toploaders?
I'd like to get the majority of my cards sent to me but I'm wondering how competent the packing is and therefore likelihood of any damage in transit, especially as I'm based internationally. Cheers all. |

So for everybody waiting to receive their cards back. I was late on a rushed order but received my cards today. All were mid-high end autos or 1/1 sketch cards. I was ignored via emails for a long time. They got on it after I sent an email mentioning NYS AG. So heres my take on my order.
Good: The packaging was actually better than ever in the past. They stepped it up there. All of my cards had toploaders/penny sleeves (I ordered pre-shortage). Everything packed securely. The Bad: First, one of my 1/1 sketches in the $100 plus sales range, was crammed in the wrong size toploader so tight that I almost had to cut it out, literally. Luckily I finally got it out, with minimal damage and put it in the correct sized toploader. I also noticed a few, not alot of cards with minor dings to the right top corner (I will have to go back and zoom pictures to see, but they were definitely not noted). Lastly I had a Topps Chrome Green Refactor Auto that was supposed to be #1/99, first. They gave me the paper in the penny sleeve stating 1/99, but the card was 85/99. Overall, I am just relieved to have my cards in hand. Luckily for me, my top 10-20 higher end cards had no issues and look very good/gradeable. Had any of these been dinged, shoved in a toploader 2 sizes to small I would have been livid. Luckily I have plenty of supplies stockpiled. I put these all in team bags. I am going to go over these all again tomorrow as I am sorting. I am debating if it is worth the aggravation to try and get my #1/99 card back or not. |

So I have a few batches that are now past there due date by more than a week. So I noticed that its only a 20% discount on fees if they miss the due date. So what incentive do they actually have to process the cards once the due date is past? A bunch of mine are current year cards that are slowly dropping in price as they continue to sit.

Cards from my batch that were due on 04/27 started popping up. Weird thing is, they all show as "Item Stored Remotely" even though I shipped them to their main warehouse (as usual).
Have this happened before to anyone? Seems really weird

Have this happened before to anyone? Seems really weird When social distancing was imposed by the local government last year, COMC started to process some cards off site. These cards will show as "stored remotely" until they are in the actual COMC warehouse. In my experience, the process usually takes a few days, but your mileage may vary. |

COMC should have 1 and only 1 priority right now as a company, especially if they have any morals or ethics and hope to keep a decent reputation. Put ALL efforts into making sure that packages can ship on time. If you cannot ship packages in a reasonable amount of time, you have no business selling. If this were any single person, they would be kicked off of all platforms and shamed for being scammers. They would not only not be forgiven, but no one would deal with them going forward, always reminding others that this person does not ship, so do not deal with them under any circumstances.
So yeah, COMC should be ashamed of themselves for continuing to lie to customers and not owning up to or operating under the implicit agreements and promises that were made to them. They should not be taking in submissions, nor selling items if they cannot ship them. Period. Shut it down until you can figure it out. |

Carboard sandwich and all cards sleeved. Reused, recycled sleeves. ![]() It was a smaller order so it was sent in a bubble mailer. Larger or more expensive orders would probably be sent in boxes.

Like most of us I'm just wondering how Tim can sleep at night knowing how far behind he is on shipping. I'm just a very small fish in his pond.

Sigh. I made a COMC account in January, but was fully unaware of these issues. Really should of researched first. Bought a total of 234 items, approx $1400, with xpresspost rush to Canada. My very first order, and now I'm just finding out about these ridiculous lengthy delays and absence of customer service. They don't even have an agent line to handle the numerous discrepancies. I find that absolutely disgusting, that will use Covid as an excuse to completely shut down customer service, with email being the only form of communication, in which they're selective with answering to. That should be illegal.
Funny thing too, literally the day after I request my 1st shipment, I get an email saying COMC has changed their policy, to 35 days for xpresspost. But my shipment still has a 70 day expected delivery date. The day after. Alot of those cards are time sensitive too. Alot of hot rookies, that can go cold, and free fall drop in value. Sigh I hope they get their stuff together, hire a mass amount of staff, new buildings, and re-open the customer service line. That really should be a lawful requirement for a business like this to operate. Or, the next best thing, competition. Maybe a bunch of whale investors get together, start their own version of comc, that will operate accordingly with quick turnaround times, ethics with integrity and respect to upholding their policy in exchange for our business. If this happened, it would also force ComC to completely revamp their lagging system and customer service. |

The problem is that all the big players in the hobby lack integrity
