I've never sold much of my COMC inventory via eBay, like 98% of my sales are generated from users on site. If people stop buying from them on eBay, I'd barely notice. The fact that on site users aren't buying is what concerns me the most.

Even the flippers seem to be asleep. I've pulled roughly $7-8K worth of my cards already and paid for them to ship home. I still have around $7.5K on site that I will continue to work through for now - though, like I said before I would rather ship home about 2/3 of that as I could list it and net more on eBay right now. The problem is paying the ransom to get my cards in a reasonable time frame.

I think that they see even with this lower level of service that they are still making money. Why change?

I think the biggest issues hurting COMC are their terrible eBay ratings because of slow shipments and PSA being shutdown. Nobody buying low end singles to submit to PSA and get 5-10x ROI anymore.
Good point and I think a larger issue than what a lot of people go on about. A lot of the demand spike/growth in the last year was directly related to the good money on grading and flipping graded. Part of what it did was greatly increase demand for medium to lower level ungraded cards.

Still; with COMC there is a large flipper base there that never have cards shipped home which will continue to do their thing. I've also continued to get good sales ($ wise not volume) with certain what most people would think are niche sportscards. Very high demand cards will always sell wherever.

I think what is worrisome is not COMC actually although I know this thread is only supposed to pertain to them and it has greatly affected some people on an individual basis. But I think the delays/shut down in grading is much more of a threat to the market both now and moving forward.

I'm getting very frustrated when I keep getting e-mails every few days about sending in cards and asking me to put cards on their auctions. Then they are not able to ship cards out they sell on time. I will feel lucky if I get the cards I request in 6 months. 4 months and waiting.

I also love Tim stating that they have a lot of new and great things going to happen BUT they can not even get their processing or shipping done in a normal time frame. Appears they are spending a lot of time on the new/great ideals down the road instead of getting stuff done now. It is his company and he can do what he wants.

wtf. Right now if I request to ship 5 cards today I have in inventory, the rushed shipping is guaranteed by May 28th and only 6 bucks...so that's less than a month. That is pretty egregious to continue to offer these dates estimations when there's tons of backorders that have been waiting forever like yours.. What service level did you use? When they cant even meet their express timelines it is beyond me why they continue to dig a hole and don't provide an answer to these problems
And yes, they should not be currently having ebay auctions when shipping is out of control like this

So tomorrow begins the "guaranteed" dates for COMCs new processing levels. Anyone sending stuff in at the 16 week or two week?

There are some hitting the 7 and 8 month ranges from what I have seen.

I'm seeing a huge concentration on quick MLB flips. Most of the cards I've sold in the past week have been Jacob Degrom. It is concerning.

I mean, Kevin Porter dropped 50 points last night and I sold 1 card of him. 1 card. 20 year old dropped 50 points. A year ago I would've sold 15 or 20.

It really has been a perfect storm: The market slow down happened right as people finally stopped using COMC.

I am still waiting on a shipment request that I requested on 1/15. It was a stated 3 month leadtime then which was already ridiculous but now it has been 2 weeks overdue with no communication.
I used to be a huge supporter of COMC but taking nearly 4 months to ship out a paid for product that simply needs to be packaged is absolutely ridiculous.
At what point do I file a claim with amex to get my money back?

I'm not seeing the same thing on eBay though - consistent sales daily.

The basketball market as a whole right now is a lot slower.

Small time seller here but I'm not sending in a single additional card until there is concrete evidence that they have turned the corner. Reserving my right to add additional criteria as needed, I'm defining that as getting eBay shipping times within normal parameters and getting past month eBay feedback back to at least 98% positive (and yes I do know 98% is still terrible but feedback lags so its highly likely that it will continue to improve from that point).

The new 2-week and 16-week are NOT guaranteed, so both could take longer.

I currently have (6) 3-week Guaranteed batches that are overdue.

They are guaranteed starting tomorrow. (at least meaning you get money off if they're late.

Default Has anyone ever traded store credit for Blowout product?

I've done this about 2 years ago BUT with all of their current issues I was wondering if anyone has converted their store credit to Blowout gift certificates? It says on COMC that it will take about 4 days to process but I'm not believing anything they say right now!

Thanks in advance!

I intend to send in regular batches for "16 Week" processing, though I haven't sent any yet.

At present, COMC is about halfway finished with my last 3-week processing batches (which missed the first deadline, but haven't missed the extended deadline yet. They have also processed about 20% of the cards in my last 6-week batch. These are still within the first deadline period.

They might not be guaranteed yet, but my small order I sent in of 58 cards for the new 2 week service has 29 cards uploaded so far and is due 5/4. Hopefully these new levels will help because I still have a bunch of 3 week guaranteed orders backed up and not listed yet.

I pulled all 2,500+ of my cards down this morning and am in the process of going through and deciding what to do with each card.

Some I will pay for the Economy rushed to hopefully get them in the next 2 months...fingers crossed.

Some I'm going to send home economy - lower end or no rush stuff that I want in my hands. Hopefully by the end of the summer.

The rest I'm selling through to finish out on COMC - set up a 50% sale to see if I can entice flippers to go after stuff.

After being ignored day after day on my overdue priority rushed delay, I finally threatened to file with local Attorney General since this is absolutely pathetic business practice to continue running/listing auctions and cards when they cannot ship even close to acceptable timeframe...cards were shipped the next day. Silly me for thinking their own timelines were remotely accurate

There needs to be lawsuits brought against them. Taking 4 plus months to ship customers their cards? Can they just decide to never ship? Hopefully someone sues them now and sets a precedent that 4 months isn't okay, before it becomes so normal that when they are taking years to ship there's hardly room to complain anymore.

They should be ashamed of themselves that they are still operating, "selling" cards when they can't even ship them. It's a huge F U to customers who have mailed cards to them. Their priority doesn't lay with you, or using their man hours to ship cards to you, only to attempt to sell your cards to someone else who they 'might' ship to a little bit quicker.

COMC is the worst.

Welp my last package was only 4 days late. All 2020 Marvel Masterpieces, economy rushed. Not sure if having the AG and BBB complaints filed is helping me or just plain luck.
