Unlike all the presidents before him. We aren't close to war with them Iran
If she would have won, we would be at war with Russia now and there would have been a draft.
You have no idea the bullet this country dodged by not voting her in.
Kim is still testing missiles after Trump exclaimed they had a deal. Trump met with Kim 2 or 3 times and accomplished nothing except giving Kim the world stage. Weak.
Funny how you think that killing an Iranian general and then Iran launching missiles back at our troops does not mean we weren’t close to a war.
I am being serious but why do you think Clinton would’ve been at war with Russia and we would have a draft? Where did that come from?

I don’t do CNN. Which site do you go to to get your news? Breitbart? Infowars? Daily Caller? QAnon?

I guess you didn’t see all the reports from the our intel agencies. Probably too busy getting ready to send our leaders to Guantanamo during The Storm.

Yes Obama and today's dems never support war. Obama's a good boy and a big boy.

God forbid Trump himself could do something right.

Trump does something I disagree with - Idiot! Orange Man! Drumpf! WW3?!?

Trump does something I agree with - It was the other people.

If I ever want to get disillusioned, all I have to do is read some comments on here. The negativity is astonishing. It is a good indicator. Just a simple political thread on our favorite Sports Card Forum.

What is the point of even trying to argue or change someone else's opinion? It seems verified facts & actual evidence do not matter anymore. Opinion, power & whoever has the loudest voice & the most money seem to carry the most weight.

Politically, people are entrenched. This country is fully divided. Both political parties 100% hate each other. Where will this time frame go down in our history? A lot of people whether it is a corporation or a dictator want a divided U.S. It serves their purpose.

To be fair, (if we want to go this direction...and it's not a great direction), this time in 2016, Donald Trump's greatest contribution what...inflating his own wealth and calling people names?

There's really no comparison when it comes to business acumen, wealth or influence.

So wait a minute, are you claiming that tensions with Iran are LOWER under Trump than they were under Obama?

Sure, under Obama Iran was behind the sabotage of a few oil tankers and other ships in the Gulf of Oman. And yes, under Obama we saw a rocket explode less than a mile from the US Embassy in Baghdad. And then there was that other incident in the Gulf of Oman a month or so later after silly idle threats from Obama. Then that drone got shot down by Iran under Obama. Then that attack on a US military base under Obama where dozens of American soldiers were injured. (EDITOR'S NOTE: "Obama" should be replaced with "Trump" in the above paragraph.)

So you're totally right...a lot less tension with Iran under Trump than Obama.

I really don’t know so these are all legitimate questions but didn’t we give Iran a ton of money? If so, couldn’t that money be used to do terrible acts with? Why would we fund countries that aren’t exactly known as peaceful? Says we owed them money?

It’s all very confusing.

We fund Saudi Arabia and someone wanted our soldiers to be used as pawns for them as long as they paid us.

We should just stop funding other countries and focus on fixing ourselves. We’re like the alcoholic that wants to help others with their drug abuse issues.

Issue is that we will not have influence and/or access to resources in those countries.

Resources sure but influence? We don’t have to give them money, just buy what is needed. What resource is needed that can’t be found in other places?

And Trump has now been rightfully cutting foreign aid. Unfortunately, the mass amounts of foreign aid began due to the Cold War and our desire to influence Nations to our side instead of the Soviets. I'm not sure what good giving aid to countries like Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have done for us in the political realm; especially at the useless UN.

Our money buys mercenaries like the Kurds to fight ISIS or Afghan fighters to help us after 9-11. America also bought influence to be able to place our weapons in their countries. Back in the 50s, we paid off groups to overthrow the ruling government so we can have a say in geopolitical relations when the new government was installed.

Now we just sell our soldiers to the Saudis.

Sounds like we should just stay out of other people's business.
