You're kind. Thx man. I actually owned this complete set once upon a time. Got a deal on it on ebay. Pieced it out and just crushed it. But I enjoyed it for a while.

I worked at my LCS during its release, and as a basketball history guy, it's just an unreal checklist. We sold through so much of this stuff - not in small part due to me pushing people to it. Haha.

Not sure if I shared this already, sorry if it's the 2nd time. But this is probably my favorite Jameer. I wish I had the opportunity to go back and buy boxes of this.

I loved the Topps 52 style set. I probably opened 15 boxes of this that year.

Loved the gold /25 cards. Used to own one, wish I'd kept it.

As a set builder on a limited budget I'm always envious of anyone who's able to piece together sets like this and it'd be sacrilegious breaking it up. I have the 150-card '99 SP Signature Edition Baseball set & a near complete (40 of 41)set of '12 SP Game Used Golf Persimmon Blonde Inked Drivers (missing Jordan/#15, fortunately Tiger wasn't in this set) and it would take something really catastrophic for me to break it up or get rid of it just because they display so nicely mounted together.

Sorry, seems like '52 Style has taken over and derailed this thread. One last card to share and hope you can help me out with what the year/style was supposed to be on this one:

Seriously, last thing I'll post in this thread because sadly I've come to realize the majority of my basketball collection sucks in comparison to what others have to offer.

Actually you're not. I loved it too along with that year's Sterling but I didn't have anything spectacular to share when compared to everyone else's premiere samplings. Don't make me have to bust out more of my less than stellar cards to contribute to the thread.

I realized as I was piecing it out that it was one of very few to ever be completed. I felt the tiniest bit bad about it, but that's basically how I've built my collection. Buy stuff. Sell for more. But nicer stuff.

Some of the short prints from that set sell really well. Would love to see panini do something similar. An all on-card 150+ card auto set with every era, team and catoegory w some coverage. No reason that can't be done. There are so many people around the game that don't have a lot of autos out there. Some of them would happily sign 100 cards for $500. You could have just about anybody that's played/coached/owned/announced sign.

It's seriously just not that tough.

If I remember right, the 52 style didn't have any redemptions either. What a cool set.

Sold a yao 1/1 out of this set the other day. Don't remember what it went for, but not a lot. Wanna say like $75-ish?

Congrats man! I was hoping to get a steal on the CP3 lot... Even at $180 its still a steal... I think that is what the ultimate rookie sells for alone. Gotta love horrible auction titles!

Do it, I'll add my ones! I love the gold versions...

I also liked 06-07 Sterling. There's an amazing KG black /25 parallel that the 21/25 is sitting in a box of I'm sure.

That Kobe Hoops Chinese Extra Rare is incredible, was that an exclusive? That's one of the nicest cards among new releases that I've seen, ever.

Also LOVE your autographed Time magazines! Manny has a sweet autograph!

copy pasting my response as well:

Thanks Man. Yeah that Kobe is exclusive to the Chinese (and I think in the European release as well) release of 2013-14 Hoops. There are only two cards in the Extra Rare set, Kobe and Durant. It's inserted at a rate of one per case. I opened one box and was lucky enough to pull the Kobe. Hehe.

And I love Manny's signature too, especially with the "Pacman" inscription.
