Over 500 points last week and I'll be lucky to break 200 this week. What in the world is my team?

Kinda frustrating as I don't feel like we should replace him (assuming he stays active through the rest of the year), but it would be so much nicer to have someone that you can actually get in touch with

HOF is just about completely inactive too. Going to have to seriously consider replacing him after the year. There should be a higher standard than just paying your dues at the start of the year
As long as they are active they should be allowed back. Can’t punish people for not responding to trades. If the offers I get regularly are a barometer, 90% don’t deserve a response or counter.

I enjoy the league but that is one thing that needs to get better overall, I have a strong personality so I will tell people to bug off, but there is always a feeling of ‘force’ trades. If people don’t want to answer trades or make trades....that is fine. I feel like some of those bad trades that went through we’re of that pressure variety.

Man I just cant catch a break... altuve to the dl, josh bell meet the dl, Strasburg back to the dl. As great as altuve is, I really regret moving SEV. My team just cant stay healthy. Its just so frustrating.

The only saving grace this week is that nearly everyone tied with my and a few spots ahead of me in the standings is also going to lose this week. Still going to have to make up at least a 2 game difference to make the playoffs. This loss hurts a lot. Story of the season, I guess

I'm not quite there yet, but I may consider trading off a few pieces for help beyond this season if my team continues to struggle

Pretty happy to have avoided upset week. Looks like I should get a little breathing room for that ticket to the playoffs.

This league has a serious activeness problem-

Bankdawg has changed his lineups 2 times this month. Only 7 times in June. He was good before then, but doesn't appear to be around anymore

Silverandblack has set lineups 4 times this month, most recent coming on the 11th. He was active before then

HOF has set lineups twice this month, most recently on the 11th. Looks like the only time he was consistently active in June was the last week of the month. May wasn't bad, but was pretty sporadic

That's a fourth of the league that has had extremely limited participation for the past 2 months. HOF and S&B also have a history of starting off with good participation early on in the year and then fading away

I just don't know what to do here. I don't like to replace team owners in the middle of the season, but there has to be a higher standard than this

Couple things you have to look at with perspective. This is a full dynasty league. So once your out of it for the year you have 2 options. Mortgage the next few years and try and acquire top prospects. We have seen this in 2 deals this year and then essentially your year....maybe 2-3 more are toast. Option 2, sit on your hands and hope to hit the next JoRam or Mikolas in the 10 rounds next year.

I agree you should be active, but I will admit myself I am in the process of a 3-4 year rebuild in a high roller dynasty league where I just moved Schwarber, Diaz and Almora for O'neill Florial and Baz...and I'm done. I have some good pieces I could move but with only 3 teams in contention and all of them paying nickles on the dollar for mlb talent....I'm just waiting. I set my lineup 1-2 times a week.

Some of these teams are dead in the water so I'm not sure we have to blast the owners...if they want to come back next year cool, if not...plenty of members to replace.

I'm not arguing they should be more active in making trades, adding/dropping, or whatever. I've been through rebuilds and know that's how trades go. But those 3 teams are literally not even modifying their lineups or being active at all. It's been nearly 2 weeks since James Paxton has been in bankdawg's lineup. He, Gibson, Folty, and Heaney have all been left on his bench while Tyler Chatwood, Drew Pomeranz, and James Shields have been in the starting lineup. Silverandblack admittedly doesn't have many moves to make day to day with the group of players he has, but even a team like that should swap out their starters much more than 4 times over the course of a full month. HOF hasn't moved his starters around since the 11th and is still rostering Chris Davis, Nate Jones, Ty Blach, Orlando Arcia, and more

It's their teams and they can do what they want with them, but they at least have to be committed to staying involved for the full year. I don't really feel comfortable replacing them in the middle of the season after they've paid their dues, but then there's not a whole lot of incentive for a new owner to come in and pay up to take over a team with a lot of work to do

Anybody have opinions of what to do? Replace vs. don't replace? If replace, now or after the season?

Leave it as is. People have already cashed in off the lack of involvement. It would be wrong for the other teams to not have that benefit. Essentially unevens the schedule....and I say that playing out a fairly tough schedule the rest of the way.

That's part of the reason I wanted to hold off too. We'll leave it until the end of the season. I am going to post in ESPN quick and warn the teams that are at risk of being replaced so they know they will be gone if they don't up the activeness by the rest of year

Not really sure how I got lumped into this but while my offensive players may not get moved around much I set my pitchers literally every day. I haven't made any trades because the offers I have gotten are laughable at best aside from the one Hollywood and I have been discussing (which I'm still considering by the way)

Thanks for the clarification. The tran log shows you've only modified your roster a few times in the past month, but looking at it closer, that makes sense if you don't change around your bats much. Your pitching corp is constructed in a way that doesn't require many changes. If you are in fact checking every day, I'll remove you from that list. A little difficult to tell sometimes!

Sounds good on the trade!

Updated my trading block for likely the last time before the deadline. Here's a more detailed look at it-

Guys on the block-

Carlos Santana
Elvis Andrus
Jorge Polanco
Miguel Sano
David Peralta
Jason Heyward
Adam Eaton
Jose Quintana
Danny Duffy
Tanner Roark
Junior Guerra
Michael Fulmer

Nobody is truly untouchable, but the following would be difficult to get-

Gary Sanchez
Anthony Rizzo
Whit Merrifield
Manny Machado
Luis Severino
Carlos Carrasco

I particularly have depth at SS, OF, and SP, though I will say that SP is also one of my needs so I'm not trading multiple SPs without getting some pitching help back too

Here's what I'm currently looking for-

SP help (anywhere from top 10 to top 40, also could be interested in promising youthful guys, but that will depend on the player)
Top 20 OF
1 solid closer

I'd also trade for certain prospects as well. Not super concerned with getting top 10 guys, but top 50ish guys interest me

Fairly open to different things and would like to make some deals before the deadline, so shoot me an offer or a PM and we could probably get something done

Choosing Arrieta over Hill is going to cost me a W. For the 2nd time in 3 weeks I will lose with the 2nd highest score.

Got another W to push me back up to .500, but no help from the other matches leaves me in 7th place for now. Still, pulling of a win against the current 1st place team is huge. Gotta keep doing what I can do and hope the rest works out

Injury bug is hitting at a bad time. Sanchez, Morrow, Fulmer, now Duffy and Jansen. Plus Roberts' brilliant baseball mind decided to move Stripling to the bullpen for some unknown reason

Still looking to make a deal or two before the trade deadline on Saturday

Geeeeeeez, if it's possible to lose before night games on Wednesday even start, I'm doing it. This was really a must win, but it's not looking good.

Glad my team is finally starting to pick up the slack these last 3 weeks. Really can’t wait to get Trout, Darvish, Doolittle, and E-Rod off the DL as I make a playoff push

Need my pitchers to step up for the rest of the week. They’ve been terrible so far. Haven’t done the numbers, but wouldn’t be surprised if my pitching as a whole is in the negatives for the week right now. I’m going to lose a game on the 6th playoff slot team no matter what if I lose this week, and then I’d need to win the last 2 matchups and get some help from other teams as well to still get in
