I was referring to the folks that bought on the dip today. I wasn’t one of them though.

Blaming sneaker collectors for this surge is the laziest take yet.

I’d take it. Although the Trout is going over 100K PR.

Why does $50 after market seem to be the goal? If cards 87+ are selling for $30 long-term, that's a win I think, and enough to hold and grow the value of cards 1-86. No way Shore Griffey is selling for $50 five years from now, but I think that's OK.

I think my 10-pack order of Shore Griffey will be worth whatever 10 empty P2020 boxes and one-touches are worth when they arrive on my doorstep from Topps.

HOWEVER

I think the Shore Griffey just made Project 2020. You can't ignore it now. This will get P2020 picked up by media and likely beyond just sports media, Gary V may not pump it but he definitely won't hurt it while he's talking with one of the artists and is trying to get in bed with Topps. The fact that The Kid is the one that did this to Project 2020 after '89 Upper Deck is just so fitting to me and I love it.

Value wise, anything in the range of 10k print run and below is now golden in my opinion. Setting aside funds for the next 310 cards now, just that I'll be a collector and not prospecting for a bit on future releases. But seriously how can a Yankee/Mariano fan read JK5's story behind today's card and not buy it? Don C's Ripken looks awesome to me and I imagine will be absolutely baller next to the gold Big Hurt. Take my $35 Topps

actually its not. do you know how many of these groups were flexing their THOUSANDS ON THOUSANDS made for the previous cards? half the print run is probably resellers lmfao
only 10% on average of any print run have made it to Ebay and sold. todays cards will hold little to 0 value
unpopular opinion^^^^

At this rate sell the boxes and your cards are basically free and paid for

Last 2 completed sales were for $24.99 and $29.99

Its helpful for me to look at a possible $10 baseline bottom price for the Shore Griffey, then multiply that by the 100k PR to get a million dollar market cap. Then extrapolate that as a possible floor market cap of any other card in the set. So a 10k PR card would have a $100 floor etc. Just how my mind works.

Why exactly did everyone buy so much Shore Griffey today? Card is ew IMO. How many people here bought 10 of it just because everyone said to?

I'll take a Thiele Trout over a Baller Trout anytime...but the Ermsy Trout is going to be the King Trout

Because a larger amount of this project is currently being driven by flippers trying to capitalize on a run-up than people that actually want to own the card for what it is?

So it's resellers not sneaker collectors? I see just as many resellers in the sports card community as the sneaker community so I'm not sure why people always want to blame sneaker collectors for everything they hate about current state of sports cards.

FYI for those trying to hit margins (mainly want to help Alex and TJ, but posting for everyone). There are sites that give cash back for shopping at Topps. A la eBates. Hopefully the big pre sale guys like TwinsJake are one that. If not PM me I’ll point you in the right direction.

Today is the day for me to tap out. I'm selling all of my Project 2020 cards to take my profits. Will be around $10k in total profits when it's all said and done. I have the (currently) lowest Buy It Now prices on all of my cards on eBay.

With me you get 100% no cancellations, buying from a 14+ year eBay member with 5700+ 100% good feedback. All cards ship in a USPS Priority Mail BOX, bubble wrapped, with tracking, signature required, and insurance included for FREE.

Each auction will state if I have the card in hand yet or am still waiting for it.

I DO have good volume pricing on cards where I have more than 1.

<---- Check out my eBay username for anyone who wants to take a look and buy.

Don’t argue with this guy’s intellect and genius. He has been around Blowout a whole five years.....I mean month so far.

My post from yesterday pretty much sums up your questions. I will not be purchasing 10 packs for a little while until the dust settles. Probably will by the dual pack to keep building the set past 83 (my starting point).
