Think what Ninja and others have tried to do is establish a pattern of behavior. The argument that has put forth was some users acted like a white knight, but withheld critical information and have shown an interest in self-preservation or financial gain more than truth. That point is not personal, but it is accurate and this thread has everything to do with it, as do others. Again, I say that as a business who has done transactions with multiple of those individuals and we would sell (please not I said sell, not buy) again to most of them.

I think this thread was aimed at piecing together the actual credibility of certain individuals involved in shady practices/dealings.

I know you've been an active proponent of Adam from the get go. That's fine. Nobody's going to change you or your stance. You're entitled to that.

I don't see him the same way. And it's a pattern of behavior that went far before his suspicious activity in this thread.

Ok you can believe what you believe but the Adam storyline (albeit interesting) isn't what's important. Anytime we start to gain momentum on uncovering more info on Eric's collection, someone comes in derailing it wanting to talk about Adam.

How is it not important? He took it upon himself to act as the only link between the forum and Eric. Nobody forced him to.

He withheld and then later doctored the convos between himself and the Korean member with the smoking gun to purposely omit information.

At this point, he has ZERO credibility. How can we even believe what he claims Eric told him?

Don't you worry. Eric isn't out of the loop yet. I'd bet good money there's going to be a hoard of new doctored or questionable items coming out of the woodwork. This ain't going away anytime soon, even though some may want it to.

Everything says that 250k sale was bogus. The supposed buyer (blowout username: fifthdownsports) is an admitted friend of BNC and as soon as that 250k sale happened, BNC raised the prices on his copy/copies. Just that alone deters me from believing it was anywhere near legitimate.

A BGS 9.5 /23 copy sold for 95k, that's the highest verified sale.

heh, now I'm wondering if that 9.5 /23 was trimmed.

You guys are lucky that these cards are serial numbered so it is easy to trace origins. The trimming actually became rampant and originally started in the late 90's early 2000's. As I am sure most of you are aware a fair amount of high quality grade condition sensitive items are trimmed. This includes the famous 93 Jeter SP's, 86 Fleer Jordan's etc etc. Once people found out they could trim cards and get it by the graders there was a ton of it going in. The grading companies may be better today at spotting this on some of the older stuff but as we have seen with even recent NT cards trimming is here and not going away anytime soon and it doesn't change the current trimmed cards sitting in holders. It is really really unfortunate but this is also why I have no desire for any of the super rare sensitive cards in high grade.

I have no judgment, just wanna make sure I have everything straight before I read in more detail.

I guess my only opinion is that BNC asks WAY to much for some stuff and doesn't move much from my limited experience.

I wouldn't be surprised if some people have an inside man at BGS or PSA also. Whenever there's big money to be made doing crooked things, there will always be a line of volunteers. Some people just don't want to work, they'd rather take the easy way out by becoming criminals.

BNC (Buy Nice Cards) is Eric is Ebitz - correct
Adam is 27Guy - correct
He's getting roasted for sticking his neck out on behalf of BNC and withholding information that he had for weeks, which was not available to any one else.

BNC asking WAY too much for some stuff is an understatement. Just my opinion, anyone can disagree.

Just his Ebay feedback has more than $40k worth of sales the past 30 days. And Ebay feedback usually only encompasses 1/2 or less in total actual sales (not everyone leaves feedback).

That's not even taking into account his IG, in-person shows, or website sales.

Most of his stuff (legitimate or not) is so high grade or low population that it commands high premiums.

It just seems like some of you guys really didnt like Adam and how he waxed poetic about his cards long before this thread started. Many have been rooting for his downfall. Maybe that affects the way you view his culpability here.

Adam messed up for sure. He should've figured out what buybuymj was saying in those messages, but to me it's clear he just didnt get it. That's my opinion that's substantiated by reading Adam's response if you guys care to go back and read it. Yes he left out buybuymjs last message and maybe he did because it either made him look like an idiot or he was protecting Eric. Again, I think he was an idiot. You try to make it like its definitive that Adam purposely withheld info.

And yeah blah blah blah white knight yellow knight whatever, I have no reason to defend Adam here. We aren't buddies (we are friendly on these boards) and we've never done a deal (although he did make an offer on one of my Lavines). I'm just calling it like I see it without prejudice.

Dude, here's where the backlash against 27guy stem from. 27 is not dumb, he's not an idiot, he's smart, he's well spoken; someone with a low IQ doesn't type the way he does. This thread is high magnitude, someone messaged him with very heavy evidence providing a world of clarity and progress on the matter being discussed and he chose not to share it for weeks and the information may never have been available if the source did not register and post it himself. The only logical conclusion for most, is that he didn't share the information because it would have been very damaging to BNC and his relationship with BNC.

Of course, it's up to each individual how they will regard 27guy, but I hope this thread was a wake up call for him and to play a broken record, to NOT stick his neck out for people like this. Even if he is 100% sincere, which we can never know for sure, he remained on the BNC ship and went down with it in terms of reputation.

Hypothetical. You're buying an expensive card from 27, you find out he got it from BNC. 27 says the card is not trimmed. How confident do you feel?

The heat should be on BNC, he is central to all this, not 27. 27's reputation got hit with collateral damage and he did it to himself, sincere or not.
