I'd say it's a good hold. I hated the first year of Optic, but have been warming up to it too. The on-cards are really, really nice.

The hype is real!!! For as many FOTL winning boxes as everyone is showing off there are triple the amount of duds. I've seen/heard of a ton of rotten boxes that have been opened (that nobody wants to share). Always easy to see these great boxes being posted here on blowout and think you are going to get the same results.....odds are about 5% of us are going to see a positive result - if busting.

Has BO upped its offer? If not, are they group breakers that are seeking to acquire some? If so, at what prices?
I contacted BO first thing this morning to get a quote and was told that they were set at this time and not buying atm. Made it an easy decision to start ripping lol.

Odds of ending positive at $120 I think are very high. At $330 it’s another story.

You think 1 in 20 boxes yields greater than $120 in value?

I completely disagree with that. Every single one of my 6 boxes last year made me money and I did not have a single top rookie red shimmer/8, not 1 single gold or 1 mojo /25 of a rookie.

They key to busting prizm is selling bulk in player lots. Out of the $720 i paid for the 6 boxes. I think I made up roughly $300 selling 5-6 RC of Mitchell, Tatum, Bell, Ball, Kuzma at a time.

There are plenty of ways to recoup your money from the break without selling the colors.

I would agree with this. I busted 3 boxes last year and was able to recoup my cost without selling my bigger hits, which I sent off to grade. Obviously now I wish I had kept sealed, but at $120/box these are a very low risk rip with huge upside.

I think both of these are true statements.

If you got a single box of FOTL, best of luck because you won’t have the volume in single RCs to sell to RC lots. Hell, you may not even land a Luka base card.

If you bust multiple boxes, you should be able to have enough multiples of RCs to unload and cover a bunch of the cost, as well as opened enough boxes to probably have hit a semi decent card. You’ll have for sure pulled some color RC.

The difference is, this years class is NOWHERE close to last years in terms of RC sales. Last year you had a bunch of RCs to hit that could make up some cost. This year, not so much.

Just out of curiosity, how many FOTL boxes did you get?

Not everyone in here thinks they're loaded. I personally think it's all random and Panini doesnt really care what's going in them minus the fotl card. Last years FOTL was loaded because you had two /8s, not because Panini put some whipped cream underneath that cherry.

Right back at ya for jumping in on me when you could just relax and watch the Bulls/Bucks game LOL #WhereIsTheTriggeredGif?

I am sitting on 3 boxes and am looking at the probability/odds of hitting something that can net me back the $180 profit per box ($540 total profit). Odds are definitely against me. Don't get me wrong....I am super pumped for my fellow collectors that are hitting big.....just hate it when there is so much hype and then our blowout friends go out and spend the $300-$350 per box and get crushed. It sucks and I like to remind everyone that only a small percentage get the so called "monster, sick, mojo" hits.

I disagree with this....

Two products seemed loaded to me beyond the exclusive:

Prizm (with color)
Select (with 1/1 black tags autos)

The Prizm could just be random, and there's a chance that since it was limited to only 1,600 boxes that those 1,600 just had more color in them by chance.

But for Select, there were so many 1/1 black tags in Select FOTL that nobody is going to convince me it wasn't by plan.

Are the Silver Prizms as short-printed in basketball as they are in football this year?
