It was scheduled at the beginning of the year as our annual anniversary trip, yes.

We had to change it a week before we left to include my Son since we knew my MIL couldn't take care of him alone. Hence it became a family vacation.

You never answered my question from yesterday that glen fumbled through. Is it a vacation since it doesn't involve time off from work? Your definition of vacation was never explained yet.

I really need it so I can inform you of how many vacations or vacation days I have planned next year so you can blow your top over what someone else does with their life.

Well Topps did send me something. In January I sent a 2013 Topps strata expired redemption and Flora said they would try and send something back, received a package today drumroll please, this is the wonderful card they sent me a 2015 total access field access autograph of Zach Mettenberger I figured they were sending nothing so I consider this a small win. At least he went to LSU so somebody around me might want this card.

I am damn tired of getting political texts from random numbers! Today I got 2...one from each side. I decided to respond FU to both (childish I know). I got no response to the first one. I did get one from the second one saying ok. It then went to say that if I wanted to discuss their crap I could.

Makes me think these things are bots...

So we are now on Day 3 of live virtual school training (yesterday was just a sit and watch a video at your leisure) and the schools in the county are still having massive issues with logging in.

So what do the teachers do? They give out what they believe are direct links to their lessons outside the VPN and students are clicking the links and finding porn and gun videos.

It's look more and more that I may have to furlough two of my employees. We had a disaster of a financial meeting this afternoon. The new Program Director is a total disaster. He wants me to have meetings with our low level Government customers (people who are technical IT workers who have no idea how contracts or financing work) and discuss the funding issues with them on how it is the Government's fault on why they will be losing their contractors if they don't push for more funding. That's His job as the PM. My previous boss was flabbergasted about that when I told him on the phone.

Since it looks like there is a 95% chance one of my better employees will be getting furloughed tomorrow and he off, I made the decision to sit him down and explain everything to him. I didn't want him to be home on labor day weekend, doing his time card, and seeing an e-mail from a stranger that he was furloughed and wouldn't be coming back to work on Tuesday. Sucks when you have to do that to a good employee knowing you probably won't have him around anymore as he will probably go out and get another job.

We'll see tomorrow if this new guy can make a decision on anything. We will also be short 3 days f funding on another delivery order and instead of having everyone take 3 days of leave throughout the month, he wants to immediately cut one of of subcontractors so we have no system administration ability on a critical system half of the month each month until we end this Blue/Gold COVID stuff.

Apparently the link issues with porn happened to students in the next county too. There was an e-mail on it last night from our Son's Principle apologizing and stating they were working with the company and IT to fix issues.

I was ticked yesterday too as my Son had missed a homework assignment. It was never put in Class Dojo by his teacher as I re-looked at it and there was no notification from her on an assignment. My wife says the teacher claimed it was in e-mail. The stupid school sends like 4 of the exact same e-mails out for each child. Do you think I click on everyone of them saying the same thing. And with the issues they have been having this week, my e-mail has been flooded with school garbage. If I was glen, I wouldn't even see that the school sent e-mails until my Son graduated high school.

Like I said before, this Program Director is on his last legs of having a job. He obviously isn't good at what at it. So far in not contacting me to discuss any of these issues, get the context of how we got to this point, or allow me to offer alternatives, it sounds like he just doesn't care.

If I could move out of the county, my old boss could have already set me up a Program Manager job (a promotion) in either Augusta, GA or Charlottesville, VA.

Yeah he would be ignorant enough to believe it is because of vacation instead of the fact that you only have 2 or 3 people on site depending on the 2 week rotation instead of all 5 that would normally be working.

Or how we only have 2 people authorized to download and burn software patches to disk (both my wife and I) and we are on the same shift so we don't increase the chances of a potential COVID spread to both teams.

Or how one of my employees is just lazy and does nothing while here without my supervision and giving her exact instructions on what needs to be done but she is on the other shift.

It's good to see BNut and Boo flipping back and forth who is the ignorant one. In this case BNUt is correct. As a matter of fact, my website is actually blocked here at the customer site. They also block most fire departments for some reason but Facebook is OK.
