That would be my vote. Of course Topps could spin off MC Lite with the sets and year end complete set without the pre-sales.

Everyone worries about watering it down, but the image of an exclusive insider's club is a turnoff for many. If they do shut down new memberships, it gives members way too much of an advantage for years to come. I'm a member and will obviously renew, but don't think a total closeout of new members is a good thing for the hobby as a whole.

I think there is a chance for more than just a few. Lots of their properties could get the Sapphire treatment. Star Wars, Mars Attacks, Bundesliga, MLS, Formula 1, Muhammad Ali, Olympics, Tennis, Garbage Pail Kids (again), Wacky Packages, and the WWE could all be nice surprises coming.

Don’t forget THIS years uefa champions league!!
That was last years which was delayed due to covid. MC is loaded this year...

That's right. What about the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles? Does Topps still have the license for that? After getting the TMNT license back in 2019 I can only remember them using it on one product. Turtles Sapphire Edition!

LOL, have you met Topps? They will allow a certain % increase in members and then increase print runs of future releases. The card companies have been surprisingly disciplined to this point re: not meeting demand. But there is money on the table.

Topps should introduce Wheeler's idea of a Membership Marketplace.

You can sell your membership to someone else through Topps.com. Topps gets a cut for every transaction while the membership numbers stay the same.

Topps can even increase the benefits of the membership, making it more valuable =)

I support this idea. Make the default to auto-renew -- I think there would be more complaints if their membership was not renewed that accidentally renewed

Bowman 1st has never been a MC pre-sale product and was not advertised as one.
