Not Ohtani related but all the cool people are in this thread so I'll leave it here. Does someone at PSA hate Trevor Lawrence? Someone had a PSA 5 go to a BGS 10 and another person had a PSA 6 go to a PSA 10. Apparently someone else will be sharing a similar experience with another high end TLaw card lol.

No, but I have had similar experiences with a grader clearly having a grudge against certain players

. A slightly raised edge can be looked at as a production nuance while a hater may look at it as an edge lift. That's a 5 versus a potential 10.

There were a couple spots last night in the 9th and 10th where I was praying for a Shohei PH appearance. He wanted to be in the lineup but they said one more day of rest, please let him hit today. Been so boring lately with no Shotime

Congrats. Thats a sweet card. I wish I would picked up more parallels of S2. I only did Gold, Rainbow Foil, and Camo.

I liked him more as a hitter back then so I preferred the Update RD and focused on that rainbow instead.

I don't think they anticipate him signing much with pending elbow surgery. I don't blame Sho. That said, if you wait a year+ and he's still with Topps, it's probably the best proposition.

I really don't get why the Angels don't just shut him down for the season.
(I know the answer is probably Arte wants to milk ticket sales as much as possible so he's ordered the team to keep Ohtani day to day as long as possible)

What's their motivation to shut him down? If he's pushing to play, and it benefits them in the short-term, and the long-term ramifications are very unlikely to be their problem...

The team photo thing was really weird. Seems like Ohtani and the Angels are in a Mexican Standoff.

At this point just not looking likely in my humble opinion that he will resign with them.
