Highly recommend you guys watch the old-school anime, Major. About a talented kid that pushes himself too hard and blows his right shoulder pitching, so he pitches with his left hand instead. He makes it to the majors and becomes a star. Later in his career, his left elbow blows out. He decides to go back to his original love of batting and succeeds. He keeps playing into his 40s in various leagues because he loves the game.

When asking the author why they didn't make protagonist Shigeno Goro pitch and hit at the same time, he said something along the lines of, my editor would not approve that - it's too unrealistic.

It will help you understand why Sho keeps playing.

Totally thinking way too far ahead, but what if Sho wins MVP next year with just his bat? Would almost be comical.

You are missing the last 3 seasons of MLB

Ohtani total value:

80% because of what he's already accomplished
20% because of what more he could accomplish

(Numbers aren't exact but you get the idea hopefully)

Currently at 44 HR and 19 SB.

Most SB in a 50-HR season
