I've been collecting him for a few weeks - I agree, he's got the potential to be a sleeper hit for sure.

blue optic Alphonso Davies just sold for $280 after a five day auction.

that's a *lot* less than I thought it would fetch.

The centering was really bad. Centering is bad on a lot of the optic singles out there.

top bottom was pretty dodgy, left right a bit better, but both within 60/40 I thought going from that crappy angle he had.

i mean if the surface is good and the edges, it's a 9.

Hard to say what they would fetch right now as I feel like Optic sales have been all over the place regardless of player, but they should do very well if Havertz’s latest optic sales are any indication. The market is so fluid right now it’s hard to nail down a price.

I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I actually think there are some under priced Sancho cards out there. As the hype surrounding other prospects in the 18-19 class grew, it actually distracted people from just how fantastic this kid is. Today’s hat trick was a wake up call. Next comes the big club transfer. I would highly recommend picking up some more base Optic and TC now, I definitely did today

England has a ton of talent and should be in serious contention to win Euro 2021 and WC 2022, not to mention the other more distant tourneys as these young players continue to improve.

Kinda glad my Blue has been locked in the PSA black hole since January.. Hope to have it back this month and it grades well, PSA has been brutal on 2019 Chrome cards. My last Sancho blue got a 9. I sold it to a guy who cracked it and sent to BGS where it got a 9.5 though.

tbf the 2018-19 Optics have been generally awful for centering.

Haha I don’t know if there will be another career like Messi’s or CR7’s for that matter in my lifetime. True, their cards would rise to insane levels especially immediately after the World Cup. However, I think in the current soccer market, the main factor in value will be the player’s performance year to year.

Let’s be honest, the card market doesn’t have the patience to wait around every four years. Prices surge now on one good game. String a bunch of those together and it’s a frenzy. World Cups will be an added bonus, but not the primary factor driving value.

Is it me or is 19-20 Prizm taking off? Still some available to me at a reasonable price. Look like boxes are approaching a few hundred regularly.

So I did some research on this. No one selling it, which even though I did fantastic on the 7 boxes I got at $100 ea yesterday, looks like a dumb idea to have ripped them. Looks like smart money that this product is going to explode near future.

Already the supply on Ebay has sold out at $189 a hobby, so we may be looking at a significant jump in sealed wax, which normally leads to a significant jump in singles.

I honestly don't think soccer explosion has happened yet in the States, it also hurts that so many European leagues were shut down due to COVID. I truly expect the soccer explosion to happen next year when EURO 2021 starts playing. More eyes from the states will be watching then the following year after that with the World Cup in 2022 and more people will take more of a hobby interest. Yes players like Messi and Ronaldo and more recently Mpabbe who i've been personally buying have kept the soccer hobby afloat. In my opinion we still have not seen the soccer market explode yet. Just my thoughts.

Pleasantly surprised as Chamax is actually going to break a half case of 18/19 Donruss if anyone was lucky enough to get some good teams at the prices before the boom. Might mean they actually break the other 2 full cases as well but the prices on remaining teams seem to have doubled at least as they attempt to salvage the current pricing I'd bet.
