I do not understand why the hobby is attracting to Giannis. He is putting up only 20 and 7 in the playoff against Pistons. He does not take over games and score 30 or 40 points.

To be fair, cherry picking one game from an MVP front runner's season isn't the best methodology. 100% sure you could find some shyte Steph, Bron, whoever games as well.

I don’t even think the Bucks need Giannis to beat the Pistons. There’s no need for him to take over and he’s not even playing full minutes. The next series will be the key to see if he has the ability to take over games.

If you're going to criticize the guy at least get your stats right:

He's averaging 21 and 13.

And no, those numbers aren't amazing, but he's doing it in 27 minutes per game and his team has been in a comfortable lead to where he hasn't had to take over.

If that's all he's doing in round 2 against Boston, and they're not winning games, then yes, time to sound the alarms.

But I have a feeling that once he's rolling 40 minutes a game and really pressing to be dominant that you'll see his numbers rise.

They’re up 3-0, winning by 24 points a game, and the games are over by the 3rd quarter. His cards aren’t selling because of his playoffs performances, but his incredible regular season. I fully expect regular season Giannis to be unleashed vs Boston.

What is up with his prizm rookie cards? Even his raw base prizm rookie card is almost as expensive as his lower end rc autos. I understand collectors are deter by sticker autos, but for the base rookie prizm card to be close in value to cards like his rookie rising tide auto is kinda ridiculous.

Seriously, though... Giannis has turned it on this season when he’s needed to. Once the playoffs get tough for Milwaukee, which I think most of us foresee being vs. Boston, beast mode Giannis will be in full effect. His card prices are a little staggering considering the empty trophy case and limited resume, but we all see how dominant he can be, and he’s making leaps each year. He’ll be even better next year.

1. Some of those autos might have a similar print run to the Prizm RC
2. I don't think it's that close. Raw base can be had for less than 200. I haven't seen any Giannis RC auto for less than 300 lately.

A loose box is at 860 right now. A case for 10k with the eBay bucks promotion doesn't seem too crazy.

From a market perspective? It's insane. Unless you hit a Giannis prizm/auto or a big time Gold, you're gonna lose big time.

There are purples in this one. It's purples or Golds/Blacks for numbered ones.

But they are basically 1 per box. Chances of hitting ANY Giannis parallels are 1 in 5. You get almost 3 sets so you should get about 3 base.

That's my guess. I don't think there are many cases of this out there anymore, way more valuable sealed.

I had a case at release that probably would make that 10k close to worth it. I thought it was complete garbage at release but turned out to be amazing when I scoured through a couple years later.

It had a Giannis Silver RC(traded it to my brother before this last blow up

), Giannis Purple Die Cut RC (later graded BGS 9.5, still have it), Giannis RC Auto, and at least 10 base RCs (all of which I just sent out to be graded w/PSA). Also had an Oladipo silver, Adams silver. Was hoping to find LeBron/Curry silvers in my big stack but didn't get extra lucky. Still an amazing case looking back now.

EDIT: Silvers were like 4-5 per box I think but with an almost 300 card set it's still 1:60+ boxes on average.

I think this is the version of Giannis we see going forward. Its the same we saw vs the 76ers.

He didn't have to the first 3 games...when the Bucks got behind... he kicks it into 5th gear and takes over.
