Over 30 pitches fouled off with 2 strikes. And finally the Astros take the lead on a 2 run homer by Diaz with you guessed it 2 strikes. 4-3 with 2 outs in the 4th and Severino over 100 pitches. This is where you after a 3rd out bunt use the bullpen for the rest of the game Severino has to be spent.

Yep I just don’t want their seasons above .500 streak to end. I know most people say it means nothing but I still like winning more than losing.

I don't believe in jinxes, and I don't really believe this is possible, but does anyone know the greatest deficit a Wild Card has ever made up over the course of the full month of September. I think the Yankee Yutes were 9.5 back on 9/1. Obviously, they would have to win 20+ in September and multiple others ahead of them would have to lose as many. Crazy as it sounds, though, Texas is showing that this can be done, and maybe so are the Yankees.

Texas is the one who could falter but still too many other teams involved. I want to believe in a miracle finish but I am also being realistic that the hole they dug is too big to climb out of but they do have a series against Texas late in the season I think. Sorry they don’t play Texas but they do have a favorable schedule the rest of the way the 4 games in Boston will either make or break their season.
