wow can't believe the gem etopps are only $2,250. seems like they almost converged last year with the updates. you're right, a RC of The Man with only 999 copies (why i love the topps finest refractor /549 too) for almost 50% of the Update price IMO is a steal.

I don't know where is the place to ask, but where is the best place to find a more accurate price/value of a card?

I recently pulled 2020 Topps update Mike Trout variation SP.

comc.com doesn't have it.

I looked on ebay. 1 user has this card for $1.00, while another user has it for $30.00.

9.5 currently on ebay at 18,000 with the auction ending tonight will finish at

Had he stayed at C he’s a no doubt HOF but the lack of production after moving to 1B definitely hurts his chances.

If the Angels can miraculously do something great in the postseason before Trout’s contract is up, the 2011 Update will be a $10k card. Have you seen football and basketball cards?

And if they don't? Not hating on Trout but I brought this question up in another thread, is being really good at baseball enough to maintain value? He's not flashy, he's not really popular outside of baseball circles, doesn't have a ring, and plays on a not-so-popular team. If anything, the best thing he will be known for is his RC and the impact that had on the hobby.

That being said, I have Trout cards, I'm just not 100% convinced that his cards will keep going up.

So now we have a 14k sale and a 20k sale.
I hope both got paid cause that damn good money for that card. I can’t imagine the other high end Trouts are selling for.

Absolutely right! I looked up the pop report
on the card and there is 115 in PSA 10’s
not super scarce by any means. However,
I believe the Bowman Chrome Gold /50
has a population of just 10or maybe
12 in PSA 10. This one of course is a 9.5

The 2011 Bowman Sterling Purple Auto refractor
PSA 10 5/10 Pop 1 on Ebay at an exaggerated
price of 149,000 is probably closing in on 80-90 K.

I find both those sales hard to believe. I know that PSA commands a premium, but there are two BGS 9.5's at $5200 + $5500 OBO just sitting around right now.

I am in total agreement. Just does not seem right but if we see 4-5 sales just like this then there be truth to this, no?
