I would buy all I can at 10 cents each. Even at a couple of dollars each there is money. They are easy to list and store.

Big find today was a 1950s Madame Alexander doll that appears it never has been removed from box for 40.00 should bring 200 to 300 ARest of stuff was odd and end medium to low price items. Some will be saved for a comic/toy show I have a table at in a few months

I've come to the conclusion that I need a light or circle light or whatever it's called. I just use my normal overhead lighting for my listings and I'm tired of fighting shadows or having to stand in an awkward position to avoid shadows on my listings.

Does anyone have any suggestions. Most items I take pictures of are on the floor with me facing down toward the item, not sure if that matters. Don't really know much about these things or if they're even worth it.

This kinda works, but only costs 5 bucks. Buy a cardboard box from staples or wherever you want bigger than the items you normally sell. close the bottom, leave the top open but don't cut off the edges. Laying on it's side but the items in 1 at a time and viola, you'd be amazed how well this works for 5 bucks. Gotta shoot from the ground now but once you set it up, let's pretend you're doing hot wheels, you can do 100 hot wheels photos in an hour.

For hot wheels I have a spinning board kind of like a lazy Susan I put the car on there no need to reposition the car just rotate. It also works for caps and other similar items

One of the estate sales this week had a massive autographed NASCAR collection. 1/24 scale signed cars, signed 6X10 photos signed caps. I went in this morning expecting a few scraps instead ended up filling the car with signed items from the late 90s til now. Over 40 1/24 scales About 50 photos and 20 or 30 caps. All for about 100.00

Awesome pick up. Any theme to the autos? Mostly from specific teams or drivers or a random assortment of all sorts of drivers? Any Dale Jr?

Went to a few yesterday since my mom was off. Surprisingly the last few weeks there have been a lot of sales popping up. Normally not too much but since the highs have been in the 70s and 80s still people are having them. Got some vintage Christmas stuff yesterday and this interesting home decor item that seems to be worth around 75-100. It’s called a monkey pod and it is a lotus shaped and made out of wood. It was from a Russian lady who had all sorts of vintage and unique things. And her prices were pretty good. I had to use google lens quite a bit at her sale

Buyer gets item delivered August 1st. It's a US sale, so not overseas. Messages me today....two and a half months later....to let me know his video game isn't working. Two and a half months.

Wants to let me know it's pretty crappy I'd send a video game that doesn't work. Two and a half months after the game was delivered.

I just messaged him and told him I test all my games before shipping and this item was delivered 2.5 months ago.....then I proceeded to block him. I'm sure a negative feedback is coming, but I don't even care.

If you can't bother reaching out within the first month of receiving your item, especially since I offer 30 day returns, I can't be bothered with these messages.

That is ridiculous, I mean really ridiculous. I have one, shipped a sealed 9ft. inflatable Jack Skellington decoration, sold for $300, buyer sent me the offer, i accepted. Got an email notification yesterday that he was requesting a return, then a notification that the return was closed. I go to look into the detail of the return, said "changed my mind." Got a message from the buyer stating that he accidentally closed the return and that eBay customer support could not open the return back up and he would have to reach out to me. Kicker is he hasn't even received the item yet.

Not sure what to do with this one, just ignore him and accept the pending negative or offer return, but he has to pay shipping and I will deduct the initial shipping for the cost to ship to him. Changes his mind mid shipment, ridiculous. I wonder if some buyers think they can get the same no questions asked return policy that Amazon has, that's why they do this stuff.

Did you drive or walk 40 miles? Either way that's impressive. I do several "key" parts swap meets and I take employees with me. Can't imagine doing it myself.

I'd have a hard time not eating that negative and keeping the money.

I think I might do that, really don't care about negatives at this point, I have three, one of which the person said "great item" but then left negative, they said they would revise if I submitted, which I did, but nothing yet. The other two I'll own, and would have offered refund but the buyers never reached out to me, just left negative and moved on so, so oh well on those.

Driving of course. Me and wife did a 100 mile stretch last April. The route is often the same sellers in same spots that have the same overpriced stuff

Perfect, I'll go that route then. Just wasn't sure if eBay would step in and automatically side with the buyer, being that he opened it and immediately closed it, wasn't sure.

That's still epic picking. Your patience must be far greater than mine in that regard. The parts meet at Carlisle (not sure the exact size) is maybe at most 2 miles? Probably closer to one. By the end of that I am dead on my feet. For 40 miles I'd need to be filling the big truck. For 100 miles I need to be filling it with actual vehicles. You deserve a patch for that.

In April first sale I hit made the day. Made about 600 on it. Ended up filling the car up on that trip.

The 40 mile stretch was not as good but still will make 300 or 400 when dust settles on it. Got 6 Nwt ralph lauren button ups should get 30 to 40 each. The wild card of the day that I have not even counted in that guesstimate is a box of 40 or so anime vhs tapes some still sealed. Some of those can do very well

I have never heard of ebay reopening cases once closed. Now he could potentially go through his credit card but its a chance I would take

Got my weirdest item by far this weekend. A full skydiving outfit. It’s a harness with parachute and reserve chute. Both chutes are packed and ready to go.

Anyone ever sell a parachute harness?

I probably would not due to lack of knowledge. There have been reports of sellers getting in Messes selling used bike helmets. Friend of mine runs a bin store and his lawyer warned against selling them and possible liability. This to me us close enough to the same type thing
