I'd keep old timers day, though maybe its not really needed now that all of them made millions. It was different when you had guys from 50s/60s/70s etc. The whole no facial hair thing is really played out now. They have multiple ads on the uniform, enough with the fake reverence, let these guys show some personality, maybe they wouldn't be wound so tight.

Old timers day isn't the problem, the problem is we have too many current players that are better suited for old timers day.

To be fair every team is doing this now. I do agree baseball should be doing the opposite with the tv rights--- get more games over the air vs sending to streaming...

I get that, but when you're the Yankees and you've taken away any free broadcasts, don't then tell me you need to get under the luxury tax or say you can't afford to sign a Harper, Machado, or Freeman.

It's only boring because we lose. So I disagree with this. "The Yankees way" is the edge that has made them winners. But it needs to be embraced.

Yeah, post had that yesterday as well. Unclear if he's just a guy who is disgruntled and its an easy way to get noticed in the media, but they're definitely doing something wrong down in the minors.

I've been speculating that for years across MLB. Gary Sanchez is a prime example. Can hit the ball a mile but the Yankees were unable to find any real place for him on the field and was never taught to have an approach at the plate.

A lot of 'freaks' have been popping up around the league but then don't stick around very long.

Hell. At this point I think suiting up the "old timers" and letting them play out the rest of this season would be better than our current situation.

They could probably ditch the whole clean shaven requirement. Would imagine that enough players don't like it to the point of avoiding playing in New York if at all possible.

Quite the opposite. They can hit minor league pitching because, well, they suck. But when they get to the majors, they are lost.

Since the introduction of analytics in the Yanks org back in 2018, there hasn't been ONE good hitter to come through the system.... if I'm wrong, please name the the hitter.
