It's funny, the first thing I think of with Carlos Beltran is his insane playoff run with Houston in 2004 before signing with the Mets.

That's always my first thought too but I was living in Houston with season tickets at that time. I was devastated when he didn't resign that winter.

Man that word caused a lot of confusion on my end. Resign vs re-sign lol never realized they were the same word.

Well, that's probably about right considering they can never print another Joe D card, right? RIGHT? RIIIIGHT?

Joe DiMaggio - MLB Living Set® - Card 832 - PR: 4,426

Edit: Man the lack of two pack takes its toll:

Kyren Paris - MLB Living Set® - Card 831 - PR: 1064

Haha. It does look funny reading it back. Shows the importance of the hyphen I missed.

I think the DiMaggio print run is solid, and I agree, the two-pack option would've definitely helped Paris last week.

I'm hoping we get Walter Johnson for #900.

We'll end 2025 with card #896, so it wouldn't be until next year, but it would be a great way to cap off the inaugural Hall of Fame class.

I'd love a Phil Niekro card but my fear he that he will be depicted as a Yankee rather than as a member of the Atlanta Braves. He spent most of his career with the Braves.

It would be strange to see him featured as anything but a Brave.

It looks like it's $200 and you get encapsulation? But I just quickly googled it and looked at the form.

Has the hottest rookie in baseball ever had a print run as low as James Wood's 2946? Jackson Holliday's print run was over 9000 and he has done nothing at this point.

There's a lot to unpack there. I would just say that as far as hottest rookie is concerned, I don't think that was an undisputed title held by Wood at the time of his Living Set card release. Don't get me wrong, I bought 20 and am shocked that the PR was that low (and I'm also collecting his TN cards). I'm just saying that at the time of that card's release, Dylan Crews seemed to have more hype. Not gonna bother getting into discussions about Jacob Wilson, Matt Shaw, Roki Sasaki, etc.

I think when Jackson Holliday's LS card came out, it was peak fever and he was very close to if not the hottest rookie at the time.

This is all just my opinion, btw, ton of factors go into hot or not for rookies for sure.

Disclaimer: I have not used Powers Sports Memorabilia but stumbled upon this and thought I would share.

Chipper Jones signing $170 with optionals:
Inscriptions - $80 each (1 career stat or personalization/phrase up to 3 words), max 2 per item, no game used inscriptions
Beckett Witness Authentication Hologram - $10
Photo Proof - $20 (image will be emailed or texted to you of athlete signing your exact item)

6/28/25 signing date
Must have all orders received in house by 6/16/25

It lists artwork at $400 and I'm not sure if that would include fine art prints. I assume they would mean original artwork and hopefully the fine art print would categorize as the $170 photo?

Also enjoyed this bolded sentence "Mr. Jones will not sign his full legal name (Larry Wayne Jones)"

Edit: and now I notice that the site has a ton of upcoming signings for living set cards.

The Buehrle card looks great. So happy we finally got one. The Top 100 list is really getting down there. I hope the entire list is made by the time the set ends.

If NFL and NBA Living sets start up, I will be very tempted to start buying. I have been selling a lot of my other cards to focus on the MLB Living Set. It is exactly what I want out of this hobby. I love the uniformity, art and, hopefully one day, complete nature of it.

Jared, can you reach out to Topps? Frankly, I don't care all that much aside from the fact that it drives sales and I want this set to hit higher and higher milestones. I'm buying 20 of this badboy either way but surely Topps just needs to update the image? They did this before on ... Luis Robert's Game Within the Game IIRC, surely they can update this.

I understand how dumb it is to call a Nippon League alumn a rookie but ... they did it to Roki's other 2025 cards.
