I had sure planned on being able to trust both of them this year (why wouldn't you plan like that?) Those two being unreliable have really made my squad an entirely different team. Hopefully they turn it around before it's too late

Agree 100%. Both are unusable at the moment though. That’s similar to what happened to me last year with my staff. Can’t have 2 key cogs crap the bed on the pitching side. Will be a tough year.

Is it just me, or does the number of games that have been postponed this year due to inclement weather seem higher than usual? I’ve noticed that weather has had a strong impact on matchups in some of my other leagues where pitchers/hitters are scratched

Its way up. As you know being in the Northeast as well....it has been a very weird year. There has not been a spring yet (now it looks like most the NE starts to get that spring weather starting tomorrow). Heck we went from 90 (!) on Saturday in PA to 39 and downpour Sunday.

Also Kingery promoted to MLB roster.

I still don't know what's up with bshea. It looks like he's modified his lineup a few times, but it's only 8 times over the entire season. He's also made a total of 0 moves (adds/drops/trades)

He paid for the year, so if he wants to not put effort into this thing, part of me says we should let him. On the other hand, it hurts the competitiveness of the league if we don't have 12 active members

Thoughts?

He may be busy with work or whatnot. I would just send him a PM to remind him to set lineups, add/drop players. Still very early in the season but it’s better to catch it sooner rather than later

Pretty hard decision to move Altuve, but my pitching has been dreadful this year. I don't feel comfortable running anybody other than Kershaw on any given day right now. I'm confident Archer and Quintana will figure it out, but there's a lot of question marks after that, and I know I'm not going to be able to rely on the likes of Triggs, Chirinos, Kennedy, etc much longer- Pretty terrible starts from all of them yesterday/tonight. Whit is a capable replacement at 2B, so while it sucks moving Altuve, Severino will be a nice boost to the staff

OUCH I just saw that lol. Didn't help that I got about 90 from 3 starters today either.

Ill be clear here. I saw it, I did not veto it. Mainly on the basis of shittier trades going through last year I didn't care.

That said, I don't think justification from anyone is required or needed.

1st-2nd player off the board overall for a 5-6th round pitcher (thats generous) isn't a good trade. It might be passable in this league, but I think you are the one who said all along pitching isn't more valuable then hitting.

Well if thats the case why doesn't altuve....the at worst 2nd best hitter in the game, bring a legit fantasy ace? Theres the question you need to answer without contradicting things you said in the past to make that trade go through .

Again...that said....stinks when your big name pitchers crap the bed. I know that feeling from last year. Maybe they bounce back this year....or maybe next year.

Not sure when I said that, but regardless, that's a non factor. The veto is for collusion. If you think a trade is unfair, it's cool if you can explain it. But the only time trades should be vetoed is if teams are colluding

Wow! Three complete game shutouts already this year from Scherzer, Corbin, and Clevinger. My pitching has been lights out so far.

Been outta town this weekend, wasn't tracking that closely. Doesn't matter anyways. Things are starting to turn around though. Samardzija is finally here, Severino is now on the squad, Yelich and others are coming off the DL, and JD and co seem to be getting past their slow starts. Expecting things to improve soon

I’m guilty as well this week. Severino helps, archer should turn it around as well. Not to worried about your team. You will be there in the end
