I was a bit wary about going, but donating helps people. I saw it first hand when my dad was dying and he needed blood and plasma.

Were there a lot of people at the hospital.

First case was on 9th March, we're now up to 78 cases, 1,600 in quarantine and thousands more in self-isolation. We can't travel overseas without applying for permission, and the only people allowed into the country are residents. Cinemas and gyms closed, restaurants are takeaway only.

General population hasn't been told to stay at home yet, but it's probably inevitable. Supermarkets are still fairly well stocked and there's plenty of toilet paper

Hope you're keeping well

I guess it was the usual amount of patients. The on-site parking lot was quite empty, but the shuttle service parking lot seemed quite full. About 15 people there to donate blood the same time as me. Blood bank has an appointment system but they were accepting walk-ins as they're out of type B blood today.

Everyone entering the hospital has to register and fill in a short form for declaration of health.

She had gone to the dentist prior to this and had her braces off.

I guess I was correct on that scenario of where she would most likely get it from if she does.

Hoping that the woman's test comes back negative but I highly doubt due to HIPPA that the fire department would ever find out even though they should since their members were put at risk.

I also think that 9-11 dispatcher needs a serious counseling on how to correctly do their job. One simple question that has been blasted all over Facebook by fire departments and emergency services is all it took to ensure 2 fire department units (2 of the busiest units) weren't out of service.

Good job giving blood. I'm still turned away because I was stationed in Scotland when mad cow disease was rampant.

On a lighter note I did see 22 trains yesterday with the majority being Amtrak and Virginia Railway Express commuter trains on the holiday schedule due to shutdowns. CSX freight is down and will probably continue to dwindle as more States up here in the Northeast shut everything down that's non-essential.

Due to how nice the weather was yesterday, I did see a lot of people come out in the afternoon and enjoy the weather by the Potomac. A few kids and their parents were fishing. Then the car show started as the youth of America showed up en masse with the new version of muscle cars. Laughed so hard at one guy whose car was lowered so much he kept scraping the bottom on the rocks and ballast that make up the parking lot.

Out of all the games Mlb network could show they chose the 1995 mariners vs. Yankees game 5 of the 1995 playoffs, time to turn off the tv and pop in a cd, music doesn’t depress me.

Then don't listen to The Alan Parsons Project song Old and Wise or the Kansas song The Wall. Depending on my mood, both of those can really affect me.

Yes it depends on what type of music I should’ve prefaced that. At least now they are showing the 1978 Red Sox vs. Yankees play in game, talk about going from worst moments to best moments. On a side note the Mariners still have not even played in the World Series so there is that.

By the way, whose turn is it? I am in isolation, so I have been out of that loop lately.

Not sure but I spoke to Governor Wolf and he made sure to add Mrs. Boo to the essential list so she can still leave the house.
