There was less traffic today (a work day) going home from Dumfries than last Saturday ( a non work day).

Damn FT!!! Sorry to hear that. You are certainly right about having your MIL move back to the old house. Does your SD have ways to keep herself occupied in her room? How is she getting fed? Paper plates and plastic silverware that can be put into a sealable bag?

I can imagine her going psycho-chicken by the middle of next week.

At least you can be bored at home instead of at work.

She has a TV, Xbox, laptop, phone, and fire stick in her room. I think she'll be occupied. She also still has her homework from EMT Class to do. I'm sure it still would suck to be in a small room for 14 days though.

For food, she is to call her Mom or I and we will make whatever she wants. It will be on a paper plate with plastic ware that she can then throw out in a trash bag in her room.

I actually will have more to do here than at work since I have training I can get done and I can study for an exam I need to take.

Thanks! I'm hoping no one gets it but if we do, I'm pretty confident me can beat it. I'm worried about all of the other firemen and EMTs who were in the house too.

Pretty close but there is a house across the street. Actually living out here is a good thing I haven’t come in contact with another human besides my wife and son for a week.

Someone at APG got it. Really curious to see how long we are going to be out of work. My hope is 2 weeks. But I have no idea.

I am currently on a suggested 14 day self quarantine. Notified my command, the KO, and my company of the following and it was suggested my wife and I work from home.

Today our youngest SD went on a call for a person not breathing. When they entered the house, they immediately began CPR. Besides the ambulance, the dispatcher sent the rescue engine since with a non-responsive person they need to do CPR for 30 minutes and that many compressions needs multiple people.

Once inside the house and doing CPR, they noticed the mother had flue like symptoms and the ambulance driver questioned her while my SD was doing compressions. The mother had flu-like symptoms and reported she had a COVID-19 test done today but results wouldn't be back until Monday. Upon hearing this (and realizing the patient was already deceased), the backed out of the house, quarantined it, and called the coroner.

They went back to the firehouse where they were forced to park the apparatus outside. They had to strip out of their gear, put it in the special washers, and shower extensively. They were then sent home under mandatory 14 day quarantine.

My SD has an N95 mask and gloves for going to the bathroom; the only time she is allowed out of her bedroom. She is not in good spirits as she is faulting herself for forgetting to put her gloves on. She did have a mask on though. Her ambulance driver had no gear on as he usually doesn't work on the patient; only fills out the paperwork and works the radio.

Ambulance is now out of service as they have hardly anyone to run calls now. My command and company suggested that we stay home as well to limit any possible exposure we may get from her if she gets the virus or is a carrier. I have told my MIL she needs to move back to her house for 2 weeks. She has tons of medical issues and there is no way my SD wouldn't be messed up for life if she passed on the virus to the MIL and she passed away.

Its going to be an interesting 14 days.
Geez, am sorry FT I hope SD is alright.

Look on the bright side now you can spend more time with us at least.
