I am in a similar situation. I have an order of a little under 800 cards that I requested back on 11/2 with an expected ship date of 2/5. Maybe I'll get them a couple of weeks after hell warms up after the freeze-over.

I wonder if their local PD and/or news outlets would be willing to assist. We are talking about a company holding millions in physical items and money that doesn't belong to them. Shouldn't their be some accountability?

My order was just over 200 cards. I’ve contacted customer service a couple times. The last I heard was on 3/9 that the amount I paid for shipping would be credited to my account and that my order would be expedited.....whatever that even means at this point.

File a complaint with the Better Business Bureau to start with, they seemed to respond to that claim, not that it did anything, but it's public record and others can see what is going. Plus I am sure if the BBB keeps getting more and more of these maybe something will actually happen. I also filled out a complaint with the Attorney General of Washington State, again hasn't done much for me, but sooner or later, someone at COMC will start feeling some heat. Other than that, just sit back and expect nothing and hope for the best!

Yes, I've filed with the Attorney General as well and am waiting to hear back. The more complaints, the better. Eyes should be put on this terrible "company".

It's frustrating too because I have close to 600 2020 Marvel Masterpieces coming, and COMC keeps putting 2020 Marvel Masterpiece auctions up, so there goes any sort of profit, they are saturating the market, guess I will be sitting on mine for a while.

The Internal Revenue Service extended the tax deadline to May 17 this year because it was behind on processing returns due to COVID restrictions and other reasons. They have tens of thousands of professionals, whose only job is to take your money, and they can't even keep up with that.

It sucks that COMC is behind, but it isn't just them. In my own life, I've gotten crappy, substandard service from bankers, lawyers, doctors, stockbrokers, courts, restaurants, retail stores, the post office, the DMV, insurance agents, landlords, schools, you name it. Big or small, government entity or private sector, group or individual, local, regional or national. It just doesn't matter.

I agree that accountability is good and agree wholeheartedly that COMC should have had much better (any?) communication from the start, BUT...

Let's pump the brakes a little - they are holding millions of cards and money of other people WHO HAVE AGREED TO THESE TERMS. COMC is a unique player in the market, but not unlike Heritage Auctions, PWCC or other consignment sellers who all take in the merchandise and retain money for a certain amount of time. Unless COMC is in breach of the contract, and in a dramatic fashion, I don't see how any reputable news outlet would be interested in this (I'm the editor of a small community newspaper). And the local PD would probably fall in the same category.

And playing a little devil's advocate here, but isn't filing a bunch of complaints through the BBB or any other agency going to make things WORSE for COMC by necessitating them to address them? These complaints, which are more based in business ethics (I think that's the right phrase) rather than illegality, are obviously going to be a high priority at COMC and likely cause more delays due to the man hours needed to respond to them.

An alternate idea: how many COMC users are on BO and Net54? It might not be a huge percentage of the total COMC users, but if all/most of them banded together with one voice, it may be a better strategy than a scattered group of people lodging complaints through various agencies that may or may not have much bearing on COMC's issues. This group, similar to shareholders or a union, could request a seat at the table and make requests with the leverage of removing all their collective items from being for sale (or not buying anything, cashing out their collective COMC credit, etc.).

I think the communication and customer service from COMC has been so disappointing. Most people would be understanding, but COMC seems unwilling to even respond to even the most serious issues (like submitted cards going to a different user's port).

Tell me about it - I have a pending order of (675) 2017 Marvel Precious Gems 'on its way'.

So some guy got his cards from COMC and one of the cards was replaced with a dummy card. So yeah there might be more issues coming from COMC. I mean, pretty weird that he got a top loader with a dummy card in it. Sure wonder what the heck is going on with my cards!

Not that it particularly helps anyone right in this moment but this is straight from THE horse's mouth/keyboard:

"We have been working on a setting up our new Fulfillment Center for the past few months. It finally started coming online at the beginning of March. Due to the transition it had slowed down our ability to expedite past due orders."

This was the first I'd heard of it - you would think communicating that out to people via an email blast would be a quick and easy way to at least ease some concerns.

FWIW - My last payout was three business days.

Again, communication, or lack there of, is a problem, and then charging $500 for delivery date and service you KNOW you can't meet is another problem of it's. Oh and the absolute lack of email from both Upper Deck and COMC...

Totally agree with you - I thought there was a communication/social media person. Then again, you can't put information out if you don't have someone telling you what to share.

The Dummy card is concerning, someone actually took what looks like a white dummy card from packs to keep people from pack searching, put it into a top loader, and shipped it out. That is odd.

Anyone submit to COMC raw card review recently? Submitted one card on 3/2 and pretty sure it said it would be done within a week but still nothing.

Their failures in all areas simply cannot be summed up with a new, unannounced shipping center. They are failing at everything.

Another day, none of my orders have shipped.

Had issues with COMC damaging my items or using the incorrect protection preCovid days, I can only imagine how bad it's gotten now.

I criticize COMC with the best of them and this shouldn't have happened but for me I think this was probably a mistake. Since epack cards like those are not individually scanned and are probably just in a 600 count box or whatever since they are not numbered the puller may have just grabbed the front card?....After all the front and last card in the stack may have dummy cards to protect them? Since they are all coming from UD as uncirculated? The card is worth $3 on a good day and the buyer admitted it was .75 maybe the puller just messed up and didn't really look at it. With the explosion in prices a lot better stuff to take than that.
