Hope he hits a Shobomb for you!

I usually cheer for Air Yordan. Even my wife is more excited about Shohei this time.

Sad state of Houston sports right now. I go to Rockets games to see Luka, Curry, etc. (Even worse when we own the Rockets...)

Texans games to see Mahomes, Herbert, etc

Astros are actually good but I wanna see Shohei!

Update. Think I'm done. Was able to gem 10% of PR. The days of being able to economically do this may be over lol.

This zone had better remain that extra 6 inches wide when Ohtani's on the mound...

over the winter, i tried to buy a non-gem graded copy of this, but was not able to find one.
So bought a raw copy with the intention of hopefully getting it graded at the show this year

It's a scam but at this point, a necessary one.
It’s a genius business model if you can get away with it. I figured it out when I was submitting a Jordan 86 fleer I pulled as a kid. I wanted PSA to grade it but it was going to cost me thousands as opposed to Beckett charging less than $100. I thought that if I graded with PSA I”d HAVE to sell it because the grading price was so high. It was for my PC so I used Beckett and had a realization that PSA’s pricing model creates an environment where you have to sell and since they are so expensive to get into a slab it adds that much value. It’s brilliant and has added tremendous value to the cards they’ve graded but its still a scam. I wouldn’t grade a PC card with PSA, but if I pulled a monster prospect that I didn’t care about and wanted to get max value I’d use PSA over anyone. It just baffles me that our cost conscious community is pretty universally on board with the racket they’re running.

Thanks!

it was pretty simple. even i could figure out how to fill out the online forms. haha
i turned them in on wednesday and had them back friday. a one year membership ran me $25 but got me 20% off grading fees at the show, so it came out to $18 a card (i subbed 37 cards, so it made sense to do the one year membership)

the tides turned long ago, not long after you signed up here actually.

Back then (2014) BGS was on top for modern.

Now BGS is pretty much dead outside of thick cards.

Crazy for sure, but here we are

I just hope he doesn't get a brushback (or worse) in his next AB after the way he watched that ball fly.

To be clear I didn't have any issue with it. Just a lot of pitchers (and pitchers' teammates) out there with paper-thin skin these days.

If the Giants have even 0.1% of hope to sign sho next year, they'll let it go.

So Ohtani haven’t allow a run in 19 straight inning?

Correct. 6 tonight, 4 the previous start, complete game shut-out before that. And I think an extra third of an inning at the tail end of the start before the CG.
