What a great community. I did not have to search for it. Revolution really needs a retail to elevate it. We know about the general rarity of Revolution but the general public does not.

The retail exclusive Status has a similar issues with all the color parallels that are unnumbered. I think the reds are not as numerous as the other colors, but that is just observational.

And I totally understand the Prizm Silver thing - but a Select Courtside is not a Prizm Silver. The thing that makes Prizm so valuable is that brand new people to the hobby know about Prizm Silvers - it's basically the first thing you learn when entering. I don't think Courtsides are anywhere close to that level of awareness.

Adding another level to this discussion...

Luka base Galactic has a PR of about 10-15. Select Courtside Silvers have around 30. A Courtside Silver BGS 9.5 sold on 10/10 for $14,500. A Galactic BGS 9.5 sold on 10/29 for $17,211 (and another on 9/22 for $18,500). I couldn't find 2 PSA 10s from a similar time frame to compare but please share if that's available.

So it can't just be because Select is more popular. Why does the Rev card outsell the Select in this situation? Does the PR have that much pull in the Galactic only having 10-15 vs the Courtside Silver having 30?

Sorry, but Revolution having retail will not make it more popular than Select. Just not going to happen. Select is a much more popular brand - chrome, it's simple, action photos for RC, traditional #'d color parallels, etc.

I'm not saying courtsides are anywhere close to prizm silvers - I'm saying they are becoming a very sought after card.

Regarding the Galactic, I think that is the one parallel that is highly collected with Revolution. If there are 2x more courtside silvers, as you say (I have no idea, nor no reason to find out), that doesn't surprise me.

I guess I think there was an influx of new people to the hobby over the last year and half and most of them are primarily focused on retail. If Revolution got released as a retail product (all they have to do is rebrand CNY as a retail format), it would probably sit just underneath the chrome retail releases in popularity and boost all the previous years of Revolution. Seems like almost everyone who has ripped Rev is a fan - I imagine that would continue if it were more attainable.

Free 24 mo paypal financing, so I finally took the plunge. Now I can sell my 2 hobby boxes some day with no ragerts.

I truly considered zigging while others were zagging and picking up something with a lower print run, but FOMO put a sense of urgency into me. I was very close to going with the Optic Holo, but I couldn't get over the weak picture. I also couldn't find any nice action shots with reasonable BINs or auctions ending in my time frame.

Prizm really does have the best picture I've seen and I really didn't want to pass up this perfectly centered example. (I'm heartened slightly by seeing an OC example sell at auction a couple hours later for more than the BIN I hit - I love when that happens)

Anyway, here it is. Looking forward to the upcoming season and seasons to come.

You can’t determine print run on stuff like retail or CNY due to lack of guaranteed hits and numbered cards

8 box case? Or is it 16 with 2 inner case?
12 CNY per box and usually RC are 1 every 3 packs.

I did about 15 cases of CNY Revolution and got around 4-5 emeralds per case and 9 golds overall.

i have 2 optic mega basketball boxes that i think have gone as high as 900 dollars on ebay is that correct? 2018 2019 mega topic. I bought 2 for 50 bucks each back in nov 2018 thanksgiving. These boxes are now selling between 500 and 900 a box. Am I crazy for thinking 2 years from now these could be 2k to 5k a box? What ceiling do people in here smarter than me see for these type of boxes? also what do we make of the 2018 2019 court kings blasters? i have a decent amount of these. i
