I noticed that as well but I think the Star Wars Breakers Delight sell sheet also only mentions the parallels BUT, the parallels in that start at 199, vs only 50 for MCU.

The Topps site now says, "Available December 23 on EQL" so does that mean Topps is doing another EQL to sell more during release? I'm assuming these are more expensive.

That could be for the breakers boxes

When does Blowout usually post pre-order prices? Are they buying from Topps like the rest of us and reselling?

Blowout finally dropped pricing on hobby boxes, $399 with a release date of Christmas week. Doubt $399 sticks for long but who knows?

Yeah that shouldn't stay at 399.99 too long. Saw the breaker boxes were sold out. Any one have any idea on the pricing for the breaker boxes?

Default 2025 Topps Chrome Marvel Studios

Odds are on Topps site. Based off of fantastic four first steps super odds there are around 50k hobby boxes.

4 autos per 8 box hobby case
Sketch 1:14 boxes

Autos every other box isn’t nearly as bad as Upper Deck. Some stinkers but I’d say overall, the ceiling is pretty high with some of the names on that list.

I could see box prices going either way depending on how some of the bigger name autos go for on eBay.

People keep saying it's a great auto list...but I ask this.
What would you pay for this product if there were no autos? I personally would pay maybe maximum $100 per hobby if I was someone who need to scratch an itch (I am not)
so is the auto worth coughing up $500+ per slot? Hell no.

Regular marvel chrome with reused art is up there without autos so I’d say it probably would be

I got the same odds (using AI). Not too bad. Think we were all spoiled with UD Marvel Studios 1 and 2 and to a lesser extent, UD GOTG 3. With normal UD MCU products, our odds were 2 autos in a 12 box case. With boxes around 120, I went through 4 boxes of Thor L&T out of a case without an auto. I know I could have gotten 2 autos in those 4 boxes, but I do feel better knowing that there are 4 autos on average in the case (I pre-ordered 2 boxes) of Marvel Studios Topps Chrome. Of course, most likely my two boxes of Chrome will not have autos.

BO Preorder dropped from 399 to 379. Still hard pass for me at that price. You can buy a lot high end MCU singles for price of case 2999.

I have found the Topps stuff so far hard to get excited about but the Auto checklist on this is pretty crazy. Its a shame the price means I am not going to touch it but hopefully this is a sign of things to come and we get a bunch more products with good checklists.

Unfortunately that means the price will just keep going up.

My long-standing experience with Topps and introducing a new product is the first year is always the best and after that, diminishing returns set in as people run the pre-order price up and Topps prints more and more to capitalize.

I'll never forget how amazing the first year of Star Wars Masterwork was. Possibly a top five greatest non-sports set of all time. Year after, I realized after opening just one box, how watered down it was.

My hope with Marvel Studios is it's closer to what we saw in 2025 WWE Chrome and 2024 Star Wars Chrome. Both decent sets in my opinion, that have suffered a ton in subsequent releases.

Technically, there was a plain SW Chrome in 2023, and it's one of the worst products they've ever released. 2025 is MUCH better than '23, but certainly pales to '24.

In my experience with SW, Topps is fairly reactionary. They can have a dog Masterwork (2021) and then a very good product the next year. But in my experience there is no product that is a slam dunk every year/installment.

The level of actors that Topps has been able to get sign since fanatics took over for both Disney, Star Wars and now Marvel has been very impressive. Many of these I had thought were either to big to sign anymore or simply did not sign ….for me, credit where credit is due. They’re getting a lot of A-Listers to sign licensed cards. Not getting into box pricing or rarity of pull rates or production rates….this is simply a comment on the ability to get autographs from actors that I thought were no longer attainable. Or actors that simply did not sign for Card manufacturers. All production numbers aside and speaking simply on the autograph checklist, I’m impressed.

Yep, i actually talked my lcs at the time into getting a case or two as they were on the fence.

I remember all the Facebook posts on the Star Wars pages were VERY NEGATIVE on it before it released as they were all balking at the hefty price tag (what was is $199 per box or something) and how high-end Star Wars couldn't be a thing

First box i opened I pulled a Han Solo AU and promptly undersold it lol but still one of my better/memorable pulls over the years

I agree with both of you that if Topps wants this to sell well next year they will make it good this year
