Bonus question, how many of the Cosmic Clippings are there? Don't see many floating around other than the one I posted before that I pulled which is a beaut.
Yeah, unfortunately there aren’t a lot of people opening now either. Value just isn’t there for the pack price (yeah, buyers remorse, should have just bought on COMC since I knew I wouldn’t be going for the achievement and most of the hits won’t cover the price of a pack).

As someone pointed out, there are a LOT of clippings, but very few cool ones. UD didn’t put much effort into these unfortunately. Yours looks great! Best I’ve seen!!!

Thank you. I've held onto from the beginning. It was one of the first hits I pulled. Strange thing is with as much as I've gotten I haven't hit another. Lots of autos, instructions and a few sketches but no more clippings. I guess if I only get one a moon landing picture from Apollo 7 isn't terrible.

I bought a box and two packs and have epack traded my way to 112 unique cards, including a full base set. Now I have to firm up what sub sets I will go for by buying on COMC. I have really enjoyed the trading service, and I hope Upper Deck come out with another physical set I am into soon.

They are called trading cards, but until I found this epack I have found them quite hard to trade. COMC may introduce a trading function, that would be awesome!

The one big mistake in this set IMHO is the Solar System subset. It should have been much larger and should have included Dwarf Planets and Major Moons. We have stunning photos of Pluto, Cheron, Ceres, annd all of the Major moons of Jupiter and Saturn. Since only Voyager 2 has done flybys of Uranus and Neptune, I don’t think we have great photos of each major moons of those planets, but a couple of blurry pics (or artist’s rendering) would have been fine. Some of those distant moons are just wild. Those cards could have easily replaced the constellation or chalkboard cards. The images of the heavens were the most stunning cards in this set and the exclusion of these satellites was disappointing…

Agreed about the moons, some of those look just wild. I’d have been fine without the constellations…it gets monotonous with just groups of stars in space.

I might be the only one, but enjoyed the chalkboards (they might just be the least popular insert of all time…who wants to go to school as part of this hobby ). But as a fan of math I dig em.

Speaking of the chalkboards, some mistakes

2022 Upper Deck Cosmic - The Chalkboard #CB-3 - Rayleigh-Jeans Law
Courtesy of COMC.com

Spectral radiance should be inversely proportional to the 4th power of wavelength. So unless that's really bad typeface, that shouldnt be lamda*4 in the denominator...should be lamda^4th power. Also considering the Rayleigh-Jeans law is flat out wrong at higher frequencies, would make more sense to have Plank's law be the card.

2022 Upper Deck Cosmic - The Chalkboard #CB-2 - Newton's Second Law Of Motion
Courtesy of COMC.com

The denominator here is actually 0, which blows up the expression entirely to infinity and is wrong. I assume it's a typo and one of those should be t0. Even with that, this is certainly not a meaningful way to express Newtons second law. They could have either used F=ma or F=dp/dt for constant mass...or a more complicated expression for variable mass. But not this.

2022 Upper Deck Cosmic - The Chalkboard #CB-8 - Uncertainty Principle
Courtesy of COMC.com

The expression on the right should be h-bar/2, not just h-bar, if being rigorous. (deltas meaning standard deviation)

2022 Upper Deck Cosmic - The Chalkboard #CB-10 - Schrodinger Equation
Courtesy of COMC.com

The h's in this should be h-bar, and also the expression before Psi on the left should be contained in parentheses (again if being rigorous).

2022 Upper Deck Cosmic - The Chalkboard #CB-6 - Wave Equation
Courtesy of COMC.com

The wave equation is a famous second order partial differential equation. Who knows what UD is doing here.

These noticed so far..could be missing some.

So I want to try to get the rainbow (including plates) of one of the base cards. I have 3 plates already but do not see the 4th on epack. I notice that there were only 155 achievements for a plate, leaving 45 unaccounted for.

Where do these 45 go? I am pretty sure the last plate I want is somewhere in that pile.

I think I’m mostly done with this set. I’ve collected a mini-master which is probably the highlight for me. Most of the base/inserts are beautiful (still wish that they had a lot more of the bodies in our solar system such as the larger moons and dwarf planets).

I ended up getting all of the signers (when I realized that there were only 6 signers for 41 auto cards). The clippings and manuals could have been done better. But I have manuals of Appolo 11 and 13, and the second Space Shuttle flight. Clipping seem better then average, but they could have been cut much better.

Maybe I’ll pick up a slide if the price comes down, but not spending $100+ for one.

If I buy anything else, it will likely be sketches. Most artists did amazing work on this set…

Pulled an SP Constellation out of a single pack yesterday and traded it for the Cosmic Clippings and manuals listed here. Very happy!

I just got my first shipment of cards from this set today. They are way more stunning in person than they are online, especially the instructions set. Everything pops a little more. The set would definitely benefit from more people seeing it live. I will post pictures of my sketches when I get a chance.

I saw him speak last summer at the Fairford Airshow in the UK. He said a the time he walked on the moon, he was the youngest who’d ever done so. Now, he was the oldest man alive to have walked on the moon.

NASA did a panel on the US’s return to the moon.

Cool you got to see him speak.

Buzz Aldrin is alive....he's 93 and older than Charles Duke.

Ha! That’s true. I wonder if Duke knows that?

Thank you. It really looks much better in person. They need new photographers for their website.

Thank you and you're welcome. I finally pulled a 5x7 sketch for my next shipment as well as a couple others. Now if I only get those last mf'n constellations for my 10x14 I could stop spending money on it

I'm down to one card needed to get the achievement sketch and someone literally tried to convince me that one SSP is more rare than another SSP.
So he wants over $200 in value for the card I need. Man....some people suck on ePack. I'll just wait until another gets pulled.....I mean, there are still over 99 cases of the product left and 67 sketch achievements still out there.

I'm missing one SSP and one SP. Problem is I don't have any dupe SSPs to leverage a good deal especially since so many out there in the marketplace show as redeemed.

I need SSP - "Virgo" and thankfully have a dupe SSP - "Cetus"

So if you end up with a dupe "Virgo", please hit me up
