Can I go back 6-8 months when no one cared about this guy? Dang it, part of me hopes he is a beast, however, 93% of me wants him to be a huge bust - I was far too cash poor to buy him in a big way, but thought he would be a superstud.

Isn't it crazy how we love, then hate, then wish failure upon athletes based on our current investment/stash/lack there of, that we have with certain players? :-)

His stuff has been cheap the past 3-4 months and is still relatively cheap. I have been scooping up everything I can. I am buying the Falcons left and right in breaks too, getting numbered cards, and autos. He has great weapons and will not be in a position to need to chuck it 50 times a game. I have read a lot about him and the team seems to really like and support him. They praised his work ethic, first to get to the bldg, last to leave, etc. Plus he seems like a really good kid. He's married, a young baby. His interviews he is poised and polished. I am really pulling for him in the way I am pulling for Purdy. And funny thing is, in that division, it is NOT out of the question that they win it and get in the playoffs.

I don't ever wish failure for any players, whether I have a bunch of their stuff or not. I can tell you this though, I am loaded for bear with Ridder and Trask stuff, so from an investment standpoint, I am hoping at least one of them does very well.

You generally bring it on yourself when you boast that you picked up this player cheap or you scooped up this other player dirt cheap.

Nobody really cares about your purchasing conquests and how you were able to put one over on a seller. Just simply say that you picked up a player and be done with it. It's not a contest.

Pretty harsh. One of the most common discussions on these boards, are prospecting and pickups. I think you are laying into the new guy over nothing.

Nice vote of confidence this past weekend by ATL for Ridder. Not only did they not even draft any type of competition, they gave him some great help with the first couple picks. I grabbed a few real nice DRs today on eBay and sent out a silver Prizm and classics blank slate /25 to psa this past week. Fingers crossed there

Who else hates eBay’s search function auto correcting to “Desmond Rider” every time? For the 37th damn time, I know what I typed eBay. Stop changing my search!!!! Lol
