The bats have gotten really quiet lately. Not good.

Yeah, we don't look good at all anymore. This isn't good.

CUBS started out hot with great pitching but it’s been smoke and mirrors. Diehard Cubs fan but realistic. They have one starter above .254 avg :i

I know, it’s brutal. Rizzo started out hot but since then Happ is the only one doing anything. I’m bummed and hoping they can turn it around.

It's painful to watch the offense right now ... everyone besides Happ looks like they're swinging a wiffle ball bat right now. I felt good with Kyle going last night but then remembered he'd need to shut 'em out. Same thing with Yu today especially since Cease is going to want torture us for years to come like Eloy.

Baez has been totally non-existant.

And I’m pretty sure the White Sox are the epitome of a team that lives and dies by the homerun.

Man, if Abreu could play the Cubs every day, he'd pass Barry Bonds in like 2 seasons.

I'm not sure how they can overturn the Rizzo play at the plate but when you're struggling, you can't catch any breaks. I should be more upset but hardly surprised at the continued struggles with situational hitting. Contreras getting thrown out at 2nd is icing on the cake.

Whew. Close one but glad to pull out a W on that one.

Also, I’m pretty sure ever run from the White Sox during this series was via the long ball.

I remember when everyone including me thought this team would improve from 2016. However, it looks like that was the peak for the talent on this team. That's how it goes but 2016 was pretty awesome.

Nice W today! Since I don’t have a Darvish I’ll celebrate Schwarbs HR and 2B:

Darvish has been outstanding. I saw a stat that showed he has 169 K’s against 13 walks over 118 2/3 innings since mid last year. That’s crazy!

Bout time Javy breaks out. Although last time he did this, seems when his major slump showed up. Hope not this time.

Yuck. I’m wondering how much of the beginning of the season was a fluke. This team doesn’t look good, desperate for some RP.

Might luck out with a really bad division but even at that we don’t stand a chance in the postseason.

And... they’re not fun to watch anymore. Reminds me of them crapping their pants last season during the end.

Way too many strikeouts and Baez doing a whole lot of nada.
