Another stellar game pitched by The Professor today! Along with a career high 3 hits he helped them offensively as well. I sure hope this continues and for having the NL best record nobody seems to be talking about the Cubs in the media and I am totally ok with this! Long ways to go but I loved hearing Contreras say the team feels like 2016 again - that to me is what is important- to have the team playing as one, and they genuinely look like they are having fun again.

Yu pitches tomorrow - hoping he can have a solid outing, and work on the walks. This rotation could be dangerous if Yu can start putting 6-7 solid innings together. My one worry is still the bullpen for the long haul. I think it is time to give Joe some credit for pulling this all together - he rightfully has been criticized past few years, but to me is earning a contract extension - get it done Cubs!

What an at bat by Schwarber! 13 pitches and on the 13th pitch, hits a 2 run HR.

And now Bryant hits his second HR of the night right after Schwarber!

Hardware supply companies all over Illinois can’t understand why sales have increased 1200% in the last two weeks...

Well this sucks. Only 3 innings deep and Lester's been smacked.

Hope the bats wake up soon like last night.

Agreed but until we have a legitimate closer, the 9th is gonna be interesting all season.

Yeah, we've been losing some close ones we probably shouldn't lately. It sucks.

Nice of the Cubs offense to make Waino look good.

It's starting to look horrible that we're gonna be stuck with Garbish for so long.

Maybe he can catch a hot streak, but it's not looking good.

Also, hoping to see Kimbrel lock down the pen when he's ready to go. Or will he also be a major disappointment?

Let Kershaw off the hook and it came back to bite the team. Hopefully win the next 3 and end part of their west coast trip (other part later) on a good note.

Why didn't Joe challenge for blocking the plate in the 9th? Catcher clearly in front without the ball. If probably stands but i've saw worse get called safe.

Not even the least bit shocked the offense made Nova look good. Under Maddon pitchers with crappy ERA's look like the best pitchers in baseball against the offense. I expect them to be better against Cy-Lito tonight cause they usually do better against good pitching.

You guys want Arrieta back? I mean you can have him for free. We’ll drive by and drop him off, no questions asked.

I don't like the back end of the staff
Darvish is inconsistent at this point he's a 4-5 guy at best.
Q lol when people were saying he's a legit 1-2. He's a 4-5 guy as well.
A bad signing and awful trade
Cubs are gonna have to make SP move before deadline.
