Man, that's insane. This dude reminds me of Brett Favre. I'm a believer, dang.

I wouldn't mind having a few of his cards but not at these prices. Oh well you can't win em all. Congrats to all the people who were believers or lucky last year and stocked up on him. No one could have predicted how well he's played this year.

I started buying the low numbered ones a few months ago of some of the lesser brands. Those are starting to go way up as well. I don't have a lot but maybe 100 different cards of his from 2017.

That's so awesome!

The game is being played offensively on a weekly basis the way Pro Bowls are played.

The Rams and Bears disagree

Mahomes' 41 passing touchdowns were tied for second-most through a team's first 12 games of a season in NFL history.

Now up to 43! 50tds and 5000 yards, and first place has to get MVP right?

His goal might be 50TD's but if they secure home field, I dont see him playing very much the last 2 games.

i can only think of 4-5 years in the past 20 where his season this year would not have won the MVP....... this year could be another one, the last 3 weeks will mean a lot

Let it go man. We get it. You want Brees to win it. Mahomes has been better consistently. I'm not even gonna post stats. They speak for themselves. Mahomes passes the eye test. I've seen my games and yours. I'm not impressed with Brees this year. The last 3 weeks don't matter. Only the next two. Mahomes will be sitting week 17 because he wrapped up home field advantage on Thursday.

that's pretty funny... considering the latest MVP odds have Brees at -400 and Mahomes at +250..... the comment literally says Brees will have to get hurt or miss significant time not to win

but yes, you know more than everyone else.... your avatar speaks for itself

i don't think it's a slam dunk by any stretch...... but a strong game against the chargers could go a long way for mahomes.. .considering he lost to both new england and the rams while turning it over 7 times in those games

so you can give it a rest too unless you want to be objective....... all i'm saying is that statistically it's close and both guys are having top 10 seasons in history.... not sure why that irritates your anus so much... .god forbid the likes of brees, rivers, maybe even russel wilson can play at a level of 115 plus qb rating while taking care of the ball at a much higher rate.... it's ok, other guys besides your own are allowed to play at MVP type levels too

but take it from those that actually know, here... and in case you don't actually want to open it...... the last sentence says.... Why Brees could not win? He would probably have to get hurt and miss significant time in order to not be the MVP..... but you keep thinking mahomes is a 30-0 unanimous vote getter, i'm sure you know more than everyone else

I think either could win but don't forget Tua was a bigger favorite than that going into the last game for the Heisman.

hey, we are on the same page.... trends matter and a full resume matters...... a strong performance and win over the chargers for mahomes.... and another trash game for brees (third in a row) with a loss.... i bet the line flips to something like mahomes -150 brees +200

i want brees to win.... but ultimately I want the guy who deserves it most to win...... brees is sputtering the last 2 weeks, if he can't pick it up and they don't look like the best team in the NFC; well then frankly he doesn't deserve it.... he had an opportunity to put up a 126-127 rating for a season and now it's down to 120......... he needs to get back on track....... because mahomes is not slowing down

it's just annoys me when people over appreciate players on their team and don't recognize anything else....... and for the record, there is probably a 1% chance that rivers is still in this..... 4-5 tds next week and a win.... brees keeps playing poorly........ the last 3 weeks mean a lot here..... for both trends and overall resume

Mahomes is quarterbacking a team with a trash defense and is now having to overcome a loss in weapons. Mahomes is the MVP. It's ok Brees isn't the first qb to lose out on an mvp despite a very good season. It happens.

just like brady qb'd teams to super bowl wins with trash offenses, trash defenses, and poor special teams....... your point of view is well known.... brady, mahomes.... then every other qb in nfl history, we got it

This is how you make money...with differing opinions. I just put in my bet for Money Mahomes to win MVP.

BTW I did say couple years ago that Rodgers and Brees were good investments. Turns out they were. I'm not a Brees hater. I'm a realist and I call it as I see it.

Just curious what book you are finding this at?

My book has the MVP race off the board this week (last week it was something like Brees -140 and Mahomes EV

All I can find currently is Mahomes -140 & Brees EV, Mahomes -150 and Brees +110

IMO if you do have a book that is currently offering Mahomes at +200 that's an EASY play to me - and that's not me being a homer.

it's a smart bet considering the odds..... i think its certainly a lot closer than "unless brees gets hurt or misses time he will win"... i thought that was a bit ridiculous

I don't get pissed off by internet posts. I'm like Tom Brady, cool, calm and collected.

Check out post #37. I call it as I see it. Brees is a great qb, was a great investment BUT not this year's MVP.

hmm... it looks like the write up i posted says after week 14...... and the odds are the same on that as they were post week 13.... either bovada kept them the same or have since taken it off

i wish the season at this point was 13 weeks....... i have a feeling the saints are moving the wrong direction

Well thank God you don't vote for MVP because I still think Brees will win it. I calls it as I sees it.

brees' hobby rise is really unlike anything ever seen....... after 16 years and no real rhyme or reason some rc auto's 4-5x in price... contenders 4-5k? i know it comes down to late appreciation and the yards record, with the td record in sight......... but still...... was pretty wild to watch how all that happened in just under a year

those who bought early certainly won, that is for sure

as for the MVP... we can disagree as of week 13 in the books..... but things are lining up for mahomes to take it back..... i just don't trust brees like i did/do manning rodgers or brady........ just not quite the same level
