So this Tom Brady kid... i know the hype is at an all time high but do you think he'll be good again next year or in the future? I just hate buying rookie cards and they have one good year and then they're out of the league in 3 years. Should i wait until he's proven himself a couple more years?

Set em up, knocked em down. Only took 1 minute, that was about 45 seconds longer than I thought it would take.

You are 100% correct and I give you credit for the self awareness. I take back almost everything Chez has ever said about you.

Just wait people, he'll be slinging passes and bringing the Niners back to glory with their new Head Coach! Hell, I bet the new coach has so much confidence in him, he'll be throwing passes in the Super Bowl, up by 8 with less than 4 minutes left in the game and within field goal range! Go for the jugular!!!!

yeah, $8K is bottoming out.

Eventually his cards will even out, that's what I mean.

I mean, even Mickey Mantle's 1952 Topps card bottomed out at $50K.

it happens, it's life.

laugh now, but if he ends up with Coach Shanny and he turns it around, you'll look like a genius snatching up his contender rookies right now that they are dirt cheap, and where you actually have a shot to make some $$$.

Unless you're a Brady fan, I say sell, sell, sell, and reinvest in other QBs like Carr, Kap, Cousins, and even Romo, especially before he lands with Denver or some team like KC and takes them to a Super Bowl.

just saying...

Always amazed at what a piece of paper is worth, I think once he retires they will come down, every great player sees a decrease in value once they are forgotten, unless you have a BGS 10 or PSA 10 even Montana / Rice/ Marino.... etc go down in value, as younger kids collect, they do not want a player they can't related to. Only guys who buy Older guys are older guys, the new younger generation have their own heroes, so as Brady collectors get older and fewer, his cards will come back down someone. There aren't a lot of guys lining up for older guys cause they can't related to them, so I feel as collector's get older and players, the market will change, and the next young guns will be the big ticket items.

I am a huge montana fan, but honestly his autograph have become extremely cheap to get, people are chasing the new young guns, hoping for a profit, so unless you have some super awesome rare montana, his graphs are becoming more and more affordable, I think brady will be the same over time, he retires, starts autographing more, a new you gun shows up, and the younger generation will have their own hero. He will always be a great QB, one of the best, but as kids grow up, many won't even know who he really is. There are a ton of HOF QBs that mostly older guys who grew up watching them collected. Not many 20 year olds chasing 80s and 90s guys, they just cant relate

I get what you're saying but kids that are 8 or 9 years old right now....if Brady keeps playing for 4 or 5 more years. Those kids will always remember Brady and him being the greatest of all time. They will remember that and they'll be just like me and a bunch of other collectors who are in there 30's early 40's who buy his cards once life has kind of settled down for them and they have the money to be able to afford them. So that's at least another 20-30 years of Brady being relevant. People know who Babe Ruth and Gretzky, Ali, Michael Jordan are...They'll know who Tom Brady was.

The physical decline will come quickly for Tom Brady and so will his rookie cards
