I spent 6 hours today watching girls High School softball. My best friends' youngest daughter (the one I helped with her Calculus), had a couple of games today. She splits time between DH and catcher. Her team lost the first game 5-4 in 15 innings. For the uninitiated, games normally last 7 innings. They won the second game against a different team 7-3. She went 3 for 8 and 3 of the outs were hard hit right at someone.

Problem is that in spite of putting suntan lotion on, I got torched big time. I will be putting aloe vera on my arms and legs several times the rest of the day. We then went over to the Shake Shack after the games (had to get that in as a to Glen ). Still had a good time with people I wish I got to see more.

Terminator movie was pretty good. Everyone has gone to the firehouse now so I get some nice peace and quiet.

Nice ride up to Biloxi hit a few Walmart stores along the way, nothing major but out of one stadium club blaster I pulled a cal Ripken jr orange beam team 43/50 and an ichiro chrome orange 96/99 plus a Tatis jr Rc. Just ate dinner at Mary Mahoney’s I am stuffed had fried crab for the appetizer and Veal Antonio for the main course, only finished half the rest will be a snack after the concert.

I have been working a long time tonight on using the Topps Excel spreadsheet for 2020 Series 1 and trying to turn it into a viable alternative to using Beckett to track cards I own. Trying to separate all of the data, add in the parallels, and then add check boxes for each card and its parallel, seems like way too much time and effort compared to just paying Beckett.

Thanks that concert was in the top 5 I have seen in awhile almost every song was great, also forgot there was an Acuna jr power zone in that blaster also. Back to the hotel room for us, if we were younger we would spend the night on the town but being old and also dealing with Bell’s palsy that hotel bed will feel wonderful.

I'm surprised the whole bag hasn't been devoured.

He has to save some .

Good morning FT I know you bought some Topps for you and your son what do you think of the value this year. I have bought 4 blasters 2 hanger boxes 4 fat packs and 4 regular packs, after going through the cards and checking prices I just don’t think it is wise for me to buy anymore, what say you.

I'm trying to figure out if I would get more value by getting in on case breaks. Those seem to be skyrocketing this year for Yankees. I haven't had much luck pulling Yankee parallels or inserts out of all of the stuff we bought.

I'm down to probably only buying a Judge tin when it comes out. Of course, Topps had to include these Target coupons in that blaster which will probably suck me in for some more packs.

I think the fun of going through the cards with my Son is outweighing the purchase price, but it will definitely mean I can't buy as many parallels from E-bay as I would like for my collection.

At least your son gets into cards with you, no matter how hard I tried I could never get my son to like sportscards. I always joke with him that when I die all these cards will be his so he better learn a little about pricing them. I will probably buy a couple more blasters as I like the medallion rookie cards this year.

What grade is she in? A junior, right? Sounds like a day well spent minus the sun burn.

It certainly took a long time for him to get into them. He changes his mind on what he likes so much though, that I see this lasting a few months and then he'll be on to something else.
