Its like they said the hell with what they are behind on and just trying to stay ahead from a certain date on. Frustrating.

I saw a post in one of the groups I'm in, a guy received his shipment from COMC yesterday, hundreds of high end cards, none of them sleeved. Just put into a toploader raw.
I would be through the roof if this happened to me.

I'm brand new to COMC. I sent them 600 cards last month. I kept an excel inventory of all 600 cards I sent which was easy because most were multiples of the same card. I have another order ready to go with about 1500 cards. Very few multiples so inputting every single card in excel is a pain!! For everyone sending in cards, do you inventory everything or trust that COMC will inventory your cards accurately? My inventory hasn't posted yet so I don't know but do you get to preview the cards for sale before it goes live in case they make a mistake on the card description? Like 1st day issue, gold edition etc..

I never have in the past, though sometimes I would fan some cards over a table and take a pic of the whole lot. If they're cards of a certain value, I would probably take a pic of those. Recently, however, COMC seems to be breaking up batches and processing at least part of them off site. And every once in a while, a card shows up in a batch that I had originally submitted in March or early April of 2020. So it probably wouldn't be a terrible idea to make some record of what you're submitting. How detailed you want to be and how much effort you want to put in is up to you. Presumably, you're the one who is going to use the information down the line, even if there is an issue. |

You might also just make a basic list like "50 card of player x" or "100 cards from set y".

COMC has me feeling like an addict this week.
I've been trying for a while to save for a certain card, but find myself buying more every time I sell something, depleting my store credit again. I started a 25% sale, changed my settings to not receive offers (so there'd be no real reason to log in), and decided I'd let the sale run and not look at it until it ends. My hope was that I'd return to enough store credit to buy that card I've had my little heart set on. Well that was yesterday, and I've logged in 3 times already and bought 2 cards. Doh! I need to find a way to keep myself off the site.

COMC veterans what is you're rule of thumb on min price value of a card to send in? $2 ? $1 ? ...
Thanks for any and all help. |

I had an "economy rushed" shipment requested on 2/12, with a ship date of 3/1 that hasn't been shipped yet. Reading this thread, it's look like I'm pretty fortunate.

I received my check this week. It was postmarked 2/24, so 18 days after they claimed it was 'shipped.' I still haven't received my blowout credit. 13 business days now. Multiple emails with no response. I don't have FB, Twitter, etc so still waiting for email response. Latest email I put 'urgent' in subject line. Anyone reading this at COMC, please push the button!!

As for shipping cards, right now they are simply just missing their dates. Typical for this company. We pay more for less.

Your first batch should be relatively high. 5 to 10 times the submission cost or so, up to the point where you're comfortable. (Prices are reckoned as the lowest asking price on COMC for a comparable card, in "Advanced Reseller Mode"). As your first few batches are processed, you can lighten up. Maybe 3 times the submission price or so. Or even less for a very fast selling card. The reason you want to front load your early submissions with relatively beefy cards is because, ideally, you want to finance future submissions with the proceeds. Let's say you spend $100 to process your first batch. If you can get the $100 back within 2 weeks, you can send in another batch fairly quickly. If it takes 2 years to get your $100 back, you'll either have to send in fewer cards or you'll have to pony up more cash. |

Does anybody know if you buy a "Item Stored Remotely" card (with the pop-up note that it is not eligible for the expedited shipping and will take 4-6 weeks), does the card make its way "on site" after that 4-6 weeks? In other words, if I buy a Tim Duncan card today that has the "Item Stored Remotely" note, and I immediately list it for sale, after 4-6 weeks will the note be removed from my listing, or will it always have the "Item Stored Remotely" note until somebody requests to have it shipped to them?

Things are just as bad with basic shipping. I requested about 800 cards to come home on 11/2 and crickets so far except that they acknowledged my request. Fortunately most of them are Durants and Wilts for my PC, but still... Maybe I can get them by the end of the year.

Kobe port ended up doing just over 450.
I ended up adding one really nice RC card and two cool low end inserts. Will for sure buy all 3 of those back if I can find good deals on them. ![]() Thank you to the buyer if you happen to be on these boards... while I am happy with the sale that was a really cool pick up. One thing I do is circle back and try to get some of the lower end cards back for "free" Have bought 3 back so far and hoping to add another 5 or 6 more. Then i will cash out and buy the nicest PC card my 400 can buy (:

How are they able to get away with just not shipping eBay orders?

What do they mean by storage fees? Does an item have to sell within a certain time period before they start charging for storage?

Be careful if it’s base of a current year product without a lot of copies available (per card) that’s selling in that range. Other people will have already sent more in, and by the time yours get processed the price will have dropped. It can turn a small potential profit into a guaranteed loss very quickly. |

I've had mixed success with their shipping. I had an order on Economy Rushed that I made on 2/17 ship 2 days earlier than scheduled on 2/25. However, I'm still waiting on my Economy package from 11/26 that was supposed to ship on 3/2.
Hopefully it won't take the full 2 week buffer. Last edited by NYJNYYFan; 03-05-2021 at 09:18 AM. |
