90s/early 2000s Insert Showoff Thread! - Page 59

Two 1998 Collector's Edge McNairs to close out the year:

1998 Collector's Edge Odyssey Level 2 Hologold 3Q

The first one is a duplicate of sorts for me, as I already have a copy. However, the one I had is stamped /150 (as inserted into packs), while this one is stamped /30 (exchanged for an improperly stamped, pack-inserted copy), so I'm comfortable having it in my collection without violating my "no duplicates" policy.

Second one is new for me, and a real find. /10, so crazy hard to come by. I understand that there are copies that do not have the serial numbering on the back, but this one does. Holographic/prismatic serial-numbering, which is kind of cool. Pretty ugly damage on the back, but good enough to wind up as an 8.8 in a USA (!) slab. Real pain in the butt slab to crack, for those who are wondering.

Thanks! I was very fortunate to pick up a different copy. Still holding out hope for the missing one to show up but I haven’t been able to track it down either.

I know that this is the type of card that typically warrants its own thread, but I'll avoid cluttering up the Football forum to be sure that none of the Mt. Rushmore threads gets knocked down to the second page, which would be a crying shame.
