It still is confusing how, in a big at bat, in the middle of a big playoff push, he was sat down and then he's back out there in the lineup this afternoon.

Look, I know, but these guys get paid to perform, and that was a HUGE at bat he missed.

If he was having issues, why play him today in the afternoon? Rest him, you're going to need him later in the season if he's hurting is all.

You're suggesting risking a guy with a red flag precursor to a serious injury for one at bat in one game ,versus securing his health for the other 50+ games of the season. He gets paid to perform, that's why you don't risk it. A cramp is something that can be addressed. It's not a muscular strain or structural.

And as for your other question of why not rest him a few games..

Thanks, I really appreciate the response, and that's a good lead. I'd say the provenance of this card is still quite confusing, though, because searching for "leaf rookie II" also don't provide any authoritative leads. The graders, COMC, and other players all list this card and seem to consider it legit, but nobody can agree on its set or where exactly it came from. Weird!

Yeah just looking at next month's schedule - every team they face is in the playoff hunt except the Mets. And Trout probably won't come back until later that month. Really unfortunate.

No one was hitting on the Yankees for most of the second half of the season last year and even with pressing and walks, Judge hit 62. Unless teams just decide to walk him the rest if the way, every at bat, ohtani has a chance to get there too.

Is there any way to tell (or can anyone confirm) that the sales of the most recent 2018 hitting bowman chrome refractor PSA 10s were legit sales and paid for? One was the probstein auction for 5600 and another was a best offer for 5700, both from eBay. Thanks all!
