Here is a fun question for everyone! What is your garage sale/thrift/flea market/estate sale bucket list item? Something you would love to find at one of those places. I haven’t thought of what mine would be, although it would have to be a toy from my childhood or something Royals related. There was this toy called Teddy Ambulance that was made in the 90s that I had. My mom kept it and then my little brother played with it when he was little 8 years later. He destroyed it. Another one I would like to find is a Skydancer. Those were recalled. I would like to play with one with my nieces

Would love to find some Mighty Max toys. Never had them as a kid, but remember the ads, and they look cool as heck. I would flip it immediately, would just be cool to find.

I'm thinking big! A Jackson Pollock or Picasso. Or more probable as I'm in Canada, a Group of Seven or Krieghoff painting. Slim chance but it's my dream, lol. I love hitting garage sales or estate sales in the older high end homes.

Saled for a few hours today. Stopped at 12:30 because it was 97 degrees at that time and it was time to go swimming. Got a few things. First sale was amazing. Spent over $100 there. Got an IPad mini 2 for $45, a Lenovo Yoga tablet/computer 2 in one for $45, an Echo dot new 3rd generation for $5 (probably gift it to someone), another Halloween inflatable for $5 (I have like 5 of these now lol), some games that I should do good on for $1-$2 each, a NES (for parts came with 2 controllers 4 games, 2 were Mario games. Was pretty clean) and 2 mint condition Derek Jeter RCs in a bag of cards I got for $5 and everything was toploaded so those by itself was worth $5.

Btw I finally was able to look through all the cards in the box I got last week and found this

My grail item would have to be unopened 70s or early 80s toys.

I actually found a rare signed Rodrigue print once at a sale back around 2011 or so. I hated selling it but had some expensive vehicular needs come up so it had to go.

My would definitely be coal scrip from Northeast Coal Company. It was a coal company that operated in the little holler where I grew up. Never seen any while yard saling back home but hopefully one of these days I'll run across a piece.

Mine would be a vintage professional flannel baseball jersey or hockey jersey from the 20's/30's/40's.

Blissmoor is painfully overpriced on stuff that Grayskull in the one photo had ZERO accessories it was literally just the shell they wanted 80.00 for it. The figures were 15.00 each although I was able to get a couple of completes that are worth paying up for. SNES games were common games they wanted 20 each, 100 for the console only... I found a few random accessory and weapons bags for 5.00 each should do well on them once I ID everything. Also picked up some old MUSCLE figures for 5.00 there are about 15 in the bag so that will make most of what I spent back.

It’s been a whirlwind of a last two days, but it’s been all worth it. Video games isn’t the only thing I buy, just what I have out of the cars right now. Hope everything does well and stays cool this weekend.

Big scores out of these were two games for PS2. Def Jam Fight for NY and Drakengard. Def Jam goes for $200+ (mine is mint and complete) and Drakengard is $150+ and mint/complete as well. Plenty of $40+ titles as well.

Total spend on everything here including a couple consoles was about $300. Also snagged an N64 with original box and four games with boxes.

Back at it again tomorrow.

The n64 with box should get close to your money back probably. Great scores! That’s what garage sales are all about!

Picked this up at a barn sale for $1. I priced it high with best offers but am hoping for at least $200 out of it. Pretty neat item.

Just scored one thing today that I never thought I would find when out at garage sales. Found a brand new sealed DVD recorder/VHS combo. It must be a newer version as well as it converts to 1080p and can hook up via HDMI. Was practically drooling when I noticed it was actually sealed. Looked it up when I got home and new sealed ones are going for like $500-$600.

No inserts unfortunately, but should be about half I’d say.

So there’s a guy selling a sealed 1st edition Pokémon shadowless booster box for $80k OBO ok Craigslist. If one could get it for $60k, and it’s authentic, is their a chance to flip for a couple hundred thousand or is it not worth that much? I could only find empty boxes on eBay. No current sealed shadowless listed or sold in the past 90 days. I don’t have worthpoint so I could look it up. Anybody with more insight?

I've been working a ton of weekends so my picking has been way off. I have picked up a bunch of vintage fishing reels (spin, bait casting, fly fishing) lately which is nice because they always sell very well.

I'll be leaning on all of you here shortly. I picked up a multi-signed hat at a local auction for cheap. Need some help with the sigs. It's from the Tahoe celebrity golf tournament. All i can make out so far is Jerry Rice. I'll post pics soon.....
