Non-partisan thought here think we ever see a person clear 55% in the popular vote again?

Nah guys Hillary represented further condemning of christians. Luckily she didn't win so no Muslim brotherhood here. Maybe By next year my work can have a Christmas party without certain people being offended that we celebrate Jesus Christ.

I wasn't involved in this thread but would come check it out quite a bit, and I think I'll always remember this thread and associate it with this election when I think about it years from now. As an educated urban liberal white person, it's so easy to just be in an echo chamber of agreement with who our choose to be around, and then extending to Facebook, media etc. It blew my mind that the poll in this thread was always trump doubled up on Clinton because I truly do not have any people like cruiserdaddy and bronco buster in my day to day life. So this thread has absolutely been a learning experience for me and I feel really dumb for that. Eff the DNC to the moon though

There would have to be some sort of extraordinary circumstance shortly before the election to have a chance.

Over the years I have learned to remain pretty even keeled when it comes to elections. Sometimes my guy wins and sometimes not. Regardless, my core beliefs won't change and am thankful to live in a country where my one vote means something.

I was thankful to BO mods for letting the huge Michael Sam thread proceed even though it had "religious" opinions and explanations which were pertinent to the story. I am also thankful to BO mods for creating this and the Controversial Topics thread for members to discuss their opinions.

IMO the thread was a good one and the differing opinions were enlightening.

Bravo Blowout!

LOL, I love that everything wrong with the country will automatically be righted by Trump. As if Obama himself decreed that we can't have a Christmas tree.

Here's a secret, people are still going to be offended by stuff once Trump takes office.

However, the war on Christianity is a real thing. While trump is certainly no beacon of a Christian, he is a step in the right direction over Hillary.

The idea of Christians being persecuted in the US is hilarious.

Absolutely. One of the things I really admired about Trump is he didn't kiss ass to the evangelicals and didn't make a political campaign about God. Religion has no place in politics. You can be a Christian, atheist or whatever the hell you want to be in your spare time as long as you can help fix this country.
