Okay, just completely ignore the main statement and focus on one minute point that I didn't even bring up in that comment.

And yes, he has proven he can hit. Even in a down year last year he hit 20 home runs. But I guess since he isn't batting .300 and hitting homers 13 at bats into the season, he's a lost cause.

We aren't talking about one bad test. We are talking about a whole bad season and a wimpy start to the season. We are talking about 9 years of failed tests

In a bad season, he hit 20 home runs and had 66 RBI. He had a great track record up until that year (with the exception of an injury plagued 2013), and had to adjust to a completely new home ballpark last year.

Remember when Beltran hit 16 home runs in 2005, his first year with the Mets? Remember how he became their best player in 2006?

Now I'm not saying Granderson will hit 40 homers and carry them on their back, but a 25 HR/80 RBI season (which I'm sure everybody would be content with) is certainly not a crazy though. But I guess in your eyes, it is.

And didn't the Mets move the fence in again? I'm sure that won't help him one bit, though.

The velocity on his fastball has been in the 88-90 MPH range, That's unusually low for him. Most of the time he stays in the 91-94 MPH range.

If he keeps tossing this slow stuff sooner or later he is going to get hit real hard.
