I have heard the same rumblings as bd; I just attributed them to unhappiness that the product stays on shelves too long. That doesn’t mean Fanatics is going to listen to them however. Shops don’t care what is in a product but they aren’t going to like the I’ll-just-wait-till-oversupply-crashes-the-price conclusions by customers. This now looks fixed by the lower print run this year, in my opinion. 2024 Hobbys are back to $100 now on Blowout. If there was much retail left it would be out on shelves - but it’s not. 1 Mega and 1 newly arrived $90 Hobby left at my LCS; blasters gone for several months already. Since August I have seen 2 hanger cellos and 2 hanger boxes @ non-LCS retail.
I’d imagine Retail bizz-es are really going to hate all those round tins of 2024 Holiday still on the shelves though. I like all the upcoming designs well enough. 76 & 77 are nicely colorful. 78, less so, but the overall elegance of it well lends itself to quality photography. 78 has only been done once in Archives and one small checklist on Throwback Thursday or whatever. So I am mostly looking forward to 2027. But if the upcoming sets are handled as poorly as 2024 Heritage then they are all an easy pass. 2023 Heritage had a number of those atrocious fake backdrop cards so I initially declined on it but now it looks way better than 24 Heritage, outside of the AI cards. |

Or even better, some Blaster or Mega cases. I never did pick up one of the 3D gimmicks, as bbcardpedia calls ‘em. I never got around to figuring out if Blasters or Megas had better odds for the 3Ds. And I liked the Blue (Walmart) Mega parallels better than the Red (Target) ones, but the Blue Megas seemed to go fast. I did rip 3 Red Megas; only one Blue. Really I was looking forward to randomly ripping this one all year long but not via ordering it online. Might go snag the 2 hanger boxes at my Walgreens last I saw. I’m stupidly being stubborn about just buying that stupid 407 card. |

I have purchased somewhere in the range of 35 megas with the blue sparkle parallels, and have yet to hit a 3D. My main goal in purchasing them was to hit a 3D and it hasn't happened yet. I have not bought any megas with the red parallels. I enjoy heritage...really the only product I rip. But, I refuse to pay the stupid prices for hobby boxes months after release, but somebody must be. Cheapest I see online is around $90. Purchased the megas in the $35/$36 range each. I would never purchase them at any price higher. Hit 2 red autos (1 being Steve Carlton) and 2 blue, 2 nicknames (Kershaw and Elly), 5 relics, and 3 color swaps. Hit only 1 Ohtani blue sparkle. Enjoy making sets with the retail inserts. Have 1 I will be selling once High Number comes out (if it does). Have not purchased blasters, so I am not sure how difficult it is to hit 3Ds out of those.

Thanks so much coupie21!
Makes me wanna rip that last red Mega @ my LCS, same $35 price point. My best hit in the 4 Megas was a Black&White parallel I guess. A couple relics too but whatevs. Reds coughed up 3 of the MVP cards but more meh. I can’t remember if I hit a Red Leody Taveras or a White one; I bought one, pulled the other. His parallels say “Pinch Runner” on the front. At least one of the blue sparkles has a team name error on top; Jeimer Candelario sports his Cincinnati uniform on a card that says Guardians on the top. I think I posted it way back in this thread already. Anyhow I haven’t gotten around to checking the rest of the sparkle images to see if any other errors crept into those. I am motivated to just finally buy a 3D card then. Only want one. |

Since I built the set minus the SPs I’ve stopped buying boxes. The Walgreens by me has a blaster that’s been sitting there for a month. The Topps Update and series 2 always gets snatched up.
But before I was going for the red parallel, opened up 4 Megas and was lucky to get a Trout and Rafaela. |

- Inserts like NAP, Flashbacks, Then & Now have all become much harder to hit. - Chromes have become much harder to hit. - Minis have become much harder to hit (and became a separate product this year). Basically, the odds on just about everything have become much worse....you've got 8 packs per box now with nothing but commons.... |

I have seen online the Target megas for less than $30. I just have no interest in the red parallels. The blue sparkle chromes are rather sharp.

I pulled this back in July. I think it was from a mega box, most likely from Walmart. It's the only 3D I pulled, but obviously a good one.

Does anyone know if Heritage High Number will be released for 2024? Was hoping to pick up a real one auto of Jung Hoo Lee.

I don't have any info on this but curious myself as well. We're long past last year's December 13th release date by now, with no new info either. But we also had 2023 sets releasing well into May 2024, as ridiculous as that is, so it could very well still be on the way

Good news! It looks like Heritage High is not dead. Topps had a zoom meeting with store owners today...and they said HH is still in the works, but their is no official date yet (although I did see someone else mention end of March in the Topps Release dates thread). Hopefully this isn't a last hurrah for the Heritage line and it continues for 2025 and beyond.

A poster on the release dates thread states end of March for 24HHN and end of April for 2025 Heritage.
At that point it's going to be so late that there's no real point in releasing it. Just bump whatever rookies were scheduled for 24HHN (like Skenes) into 25 Heritage. |

I hate what has happened to release dates for products. I know Covid jacked up a lot of stuff, but it's been almost 5 years now. Time to get back on track.
