I’d just finished the dishes and decided to hop on this board to ogle 1/1s and read about people free rolling cases from all the money they made from their awesome PMG hits from the presale priced boxes they purchased well ahead of time (jk, we’re all in the same boat now!). As usual, I was impressed with the hits and tried to tell myself that these results aren’t the norm but decided to open some packs anyways. I bought 5 packs (1-2-1-1). Probably the worst 5 pack run I’d ever seen. The best card I got was a Hawkeye HS Grandiose.

I had $45 left in the account I use for trading cards and so bought one last pack…. As the pack screen loaded, I pulled up my online banking transfer window just in case I needed a last last pack (so hard to wait after disappointment).

I opened the pack and got to the 4th card, a Wolverine #100 and prepared myself for a letdown as usually I feel like the hits come earlier in the pack (my hits at least). I do that thing where you flip the card to get a peek of the next card and saw this…








Happy and relieved that I can quit ripping now. The sad thing is I think it essentially gets me a little over even even after grading. Holding for now. Excited to get it in person.

Monster hit

I like the slow roll card flip. First you see green, then McFarlane Venom! Easily one of the best greens in the set, if not the best from a sheer coolness factor.

I don’t know where the 75% epack 25% hobby numbers came from but unless the purples are far easier to hit in hobby only 50% of the product is epack. Also, all odd number (card number not serial number) super rave’s are in hobby and all even number’s are in epack.

Most likely this set is over 50% sold out on epack assuming only 50% of the allocation is epack.

Gotcha, so at 100 epack purples, does seem like ~50% epack has been opened, maybe a bit more by now. Where is the 100 number coming from, UD?

Definitely agree... Hopefully it came across in my post that I was one that got burned for a number of weeks on epack. I'm ecstatic about the hit, just know I would've enjoyed it a lot more if I didn't put myself in a hole early on. If I had a do-over I would set/stick to a better strategy and lock my phone up during times of weakness (haha). In the beginning I did a lot of the 1 box/pack breaks at Mojo. I liked the format because it limited the amount I could spend and there was a forced time out between breaks.

theres 2 1/1 purples active on eBay from what I can tell ( most people are calling pinks purple /75 gah heh)

there 4 sold purple 1/1 on ebay so far

so thats
28 + 8 + 2 + 4 = 42 so in 1 month+ less then 1/4 of purple have been pulled

lets say there another 10 that have been sold on comc or outside epack and ebay

thats still 52 out of 200

E-pack question for you. I’ve had some great luck on my 3 hobby boxes(Spidey platinum portrait, green pmg scorpion, pink venom high series) and feel like potentially free rolling a e-pack case. Do the hits fall at the same rate as a physical case would? Has anyone opened an e-pack case? Thanks for your help.

Nope not at all I also hit big with my first 20 packs (green pmg, red pmg, comic cut) only for it to suck pretty bad in the next 20 packs dont expect your success to continue for sure its a hit and miss with epack you can get a whole box with only high series and grandios and not much it has happened

Physical or epack?

I watched a 10-case physical break w/ no greens pulled 10 CASES!!

Although, it could be that the physical product was watered-down a bit compared to the e-release but who knows

Epack.

Pulled a bunch of cards at the time of release were maybe $100-$200, no idea what they are being comc drilled down to now.

So enough that I kept going but nothing worth showing off.

I like Rave coming from 90s sports so was happy to trade for a couple of cool ones (Anyone have spiderman?)

Got MJW printing plate achieve. What on earth is that worth? In sports, printing plates are garbage but the epack community seems to dig them. I guess the booklet is kind of cool since you get the rainbow 4 card and UD's booklet display.

e-pack trades are really slowing down. Seems like I'm stuck at 72 of the base I need. Did really well the first week after I started and can't get any bites on anything right now...ugh

Yep. Even my offers to outright buy go nowhere. Yet people keep transferring high series to COMC.

I didn't get my Black high series Firestar from X-Men Metal because I just got bored of trading 1-for-1s. Now even PayPal doesn't help.

Well if anyone wants to buy my base I’d definitely entertain offers. Would even trade it all in a single trade for a numbered card from Metal. Not a ton but a total of 298 base and high series.

Where are the arts from the 4 spider man characters from, and how would they be ranked in terms of desirability/popularity?

I only know the high series because they are well known silver age covers. 164 and 176 are the covers of Amazing Spiderman 68 and 70, respectively.

I couldn’t say what the low series 64 and 76 are from, maybe someone on here knows. Clearly modern based on the art. And 76 looks like from a cover since you can see the classic ‘Spider-Man’ title in the background.

Don’t know how people are ranking them- if I had to guess, all pretty similar. It’s not like one is the AF 15 cover and really stands out. I personally am not a fan of 176, it’s a strange pose for a trading card. My fav might be 164- classic, free swinging Spidey.

Thanks! I don't have any idea how to look that up other than asking. I like the 176 but I may be biased as I got a good one.
