Being a comic book though, I think it's less about a best seller list. But like I said, it does look to be exclusive to Forbidden Planet as a signed edition (video here), so anything could happen.

I've spent way more on way dumber stuff than this, though.

Thanks for this one. Only the 2nd "signed" item I've tried to get from this thread. I'm going to assume I/we end up with autopen autographs, but if not...a 10 dollar Clarke would be a great deal, haha.

An update on the Clarke comics: I emailed Forever Planet to get a tentative shipping quote, they said that won't be available until it's ready to ship (end of July) but if the shipping quote is too high, they are more than happy to cancel international orders. Hopefully should settle any worries there.

I have been looking for signed copies of this in USA. I seen pre-orders for $900+. So if these do come through at this price, shipping would need to be astronomical not to make this worthwhile.

Even if they did something outrageous like tacking on $200 shipping I think everyone would agree that that would be a Bush league thing to do but I doubt anyone would cancel lol.

It is a tad bit scary that they would not disclose the shipping charge at checkout. It’s not like they don’t know the weight and value of a comic.

So, in regards to the Mother Of Madness #1 Cover Signed By Emilia Clarke, I do not understand how one comic shop will sell this for £9.99 ($13.87) while the rest will sell the same issue between $800 to $1500. It just seems to good to be true. Thoughts?

I believe it originates with that comic company, Forbidden Planet, others are just hyping it to the max. It's kind of nice that they sold it at a fair price to begin with.

It's also a promo of sorts being signed by Clarke to promote that series that she's involved in creating. I doubt she even charge FP for the signed copies.

I'm sure there are some flippers who are preselling a copy they preordered from FP, but most of the pre-orders you see available (from actual comic shops) are the incentive variant directly from Diamond/Image not FP.

I know FP is a legitimate store and I think they even have their own publishing imprint, but I'm skeptical these'll actually be fulfilled. They were available for a long time and had at least one restock, and FP's oversold preorders before. I'd be more confident if they would have actually mentioned anything about FP getting signed copies during their interview with her.

I've ordered from FP in the past. Shipping can be very iffy as they normally ship comic books in cardboard mailers unless you order a lot of books to have it shipped in a box. Also, they do tend to oversell on their preorders a lot.
