Not disputing Watsons talent at all. Hes electric but this isnt the NBA where highlights mean much. He will sell jerseys and get the fanbase dreaming but in the NFL you need assets and a team to win. His cards will be fine wherever he goes as long as his ACLs stay in tact people. Dont worry about your Prizm blues. This is strictly an NFL talk and this trade will require the landing team to sell off ALOT to acquire him. Rightfully so but also need to express caution. For what his price tag will be , the team that gets him better win 2-3 SuperBowls in the next 5-7 years. |

Texans aren’t game to let this go easy. The fines they can impose could be costly if Watson doesn’t budge, but I can’t see him reversing his position on wanting a trade. Chances he sits out? Chances Houston caves and trades him? What a dumpster fire. I feel for you, Texans fans.

Houston has all the pressure because you need that 2021 guaranteed pick (so say you know you are getting #3 from Miami) You can’t gamble on future picks by playing hardball If Watson wants out? You have to let him go and get what you can get (knowing at least some of it) You can’t risk trading him to Miami after 3 or 4 games, if he sits out, and they end up winning 11 or 12 You have to know what you are getting before the draft happens

I cant think of another trade that has and could be on this level. The initial asking price for him is crazy. If the Jets with that roster are ready to mortgage the next two drafts for him in NY the media will be all over this. They are already saying here how Watson would turn then into a SB contender. |

Agreed. No brainer to target NFC (particularly NFC East team, such as WFT...). Only downside to San Fran would be fact you have to compete in really tough division for the foreseeable future with solid QBs.

Players have before and after will be unhappy about something and demand a trade but the club does not have to grant that request to make them happy. Watson has very little leverage besides threating to retire and as I said he won't retire and give up millions of dollars.

He has a ton of leverage. Threaten to sit out and if they play hardball, follow through. The team will be absolute garbage with some random backup at QB. They may go 0-16, and the fans aren’t on the organizations side. Easy for me to say but I hope Watson plays hardball and sticks to his guns. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

CBS said it best...
Could the Texans simply not trade Watson, fine him and let him not show up? I mean… yes. Then they could appear vindictive to their own players and every other NFL player who may ever cross their path. They could let several first-round-pick offers sit in their inbox collecting dust. No one is that foolish... wait it is the Texans

I was a collector with no plans to sell but I guess that may change depending on where he goes. Living in Houston, it was nice to have someone to go cheer for. I think as far as hobby love goes, San Fran would probably be best for his prices.

I don’t collect Watson (I have one in the PC just because) and I don’t give two craps about any of the teams mentioned
I like the idea of Watson on the Dolphins. I just do. Tua somewhere else (Houston or a super fun NBA 3 team trade) It just works for me

Should Miami trade Tua and their number 3 pick for him?

Unless you can fire the owner, Watson is in a horrible position. I agree with Deshaun about the terrible hirings. A 65 year old coach? Sh!tty. Fan reaction is somewhat mixed. The Watson fans who chastise the team but the white JJ Watt type fans who chastise Watson for causing a scene and should "shut up and play." Not a hot take either, I see the difference in fans, especially in football lol

Listen, Houston traded D Hopkins for literally nothing and traded the world to get whoever that Offensive Tackle was.
They need to start fresh and if Watson doesn't want to be there and there is chance to get a bunch of picks for him than they should do it. Houston can then SUCK REALLY BAD this year and get more picks next year and have a complete rebuild. Having Watson on your team is just going to keep Houston in mediocrity with this roster and future draft picks. Plus, he is unhappy - put the ego aside and do what is right for Houston and Watson. |
